Almost Two Weeks Later

"So, how's Metropolis so far?" Iris asked.

"It's been good so far since it was only my first day of work." Iris and I were currently skyping each other talking about each others day.

"Did you meet Superman yet?" she asked. I gave her a look that said 'what do you think?'. "You never know you might get a chance to see your lover boy in action." She teased.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Yeah, if I'm lucky. Oh, I forgot to mention that I also have a date."

I then saw Iris perk up in interest. "Really? Who? How? And when?"

I laughed a little at her reaction. "It's one of my co-workers Clark Kent."

Iris then gave me a confused look. "Didn't you just start there like two weeks ago? How in the world you in up getting a date that fast since you have not dated in a billion years?"

"What do you mean I 'have not dated in a billion years'. I will have you know that I have went on many dates recently." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Oh really? When and who was your last date?" Iris asked now crossing her arms over her chest.

"Uhm..." I had to sit and think for a moment, but I know I have been on a date. Haven't I?

"See you have to sit there and think about. That proves you haven't been on a date in years."

I rolled my eyes at her. "So, that doesn't mean I still don't have my looks and my irresistible charm." I said flipping my hair over my shoulder. Iris just sat there looking at me with a plain look. "Yeah, whatever you say."

"Anyway, I don't think I am going to go." I admitted.

"What? Why?" Iris asked.

"What about Bruce?"

Iris sighed. "Look Mia you have been crushing on Bruce since you were...what? In high school. I think you should move on and give Clark a try. But, if you still had feelings for Bruce. Why did you agree to the date?"

I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know. *sigh* I..there just something about Clark that draws me to him."

"Like I said Mia give Clark a chance. You never know what it may lead to."

"Yeah your right."

"Look Mia I have to go. Talk to you later."

"Okay, bye." I said hanging up as well.

It was now five o'clock which was time to go home. I hate to have to work on Saturdays, buy hey that's life you gotta do what you got to do. But, the day was better knowing I had a date tonight. Something I had not been on in a long time. I looked over to Clark's desk to see it was empty. I didn't even notice he was gone. I looked around to see if I see him but I didn't. I wonder where he goes sometimes. I know I barely been here, but it seems sometimes he just vanish. So, I decided to just grab my things and meet him in the front lobby. As I made my way out of the office area that's when I noticed Clark coming out of the men's restroom.

"Hey, Clark." I said getting his attention. As Clark made his way over here. I looked at my outfit and realized I need to change. My whole outfit said 'office job bookworm' not sexy lady. 'Sexy lady?' I thought. Also, on top of that I still had a mustard stain from the sandwich I had for lunch.
