Gotham City
Two Days Later
3rd POV
Bruce's body glistened with sweat as he pounds the tire with a sledge hammer. Each hit he made was his thoughts of the past events.
POUND!
POUND!
Bruce kept thought back to that kiss with Mia. Her soft lips against his felt wonderful to him. He knew what he did was wrong and he felt guilty for it. Yet, again he shamefully still craved her sweet lips. Despite these new feelings he had toward Mia, Bruce knew what he did was wrong. He tried to call Mia earlier (which took a lot in him), but she did not answer.
POUND!
POUND!
Mainly his thoughts were of anger and hate. That anger hate toward the Man of Steel. That explosion the other day fueled his will to take down Superman.
POUND!
POUND!
Jealously. Hate and anger was not the only thing he felt for Clark it was also jealousy. He hated that he had Mia and he could not have her, but that was less of his problems now. His focus was on Superman.
Bruce then moved on to pull-ups, from pull-ups to pulling heavy tires. He wanted his body to physically prepared to take on the power of the Man of Steel, but he knew this alone will not be enough. That is why he had his ultimate weapon that will do the job for him. Kryptonite.
Bruce went through Luthor's flash drive finding information on how to shape it into the perfect weapon. As he went through Lex's files he stumbled upon a file called Meta-Human. Bruce raised a brow in curiosity. He clicked on the file and saw four different attachments with different symbols on each. Bruce decided that he will click on the first one. The one with the 'W' symbol.
Bruce was surprised to images of the mysterious woman he met before. He continued to look through the file seeing pictures of her at different places until he stumbled on one picture that really grabbed his attention. It was a black and white old photograph taken of her in Belgium in 1918.
Bruce knew that there something up about this woman, but this he did not expect.
In the back of the room Alfred stood there with his arms crossed watching his young master Bruce preparing for war with the alien of Metropolis. Alfred sighed and shook his head knowing nothing he said could talk Bruce out of this.

Somewhere Not In Metropolis
The cold weather did not bother Clark as he traveled up the cold snowy mountain. Clark continued to walk to the highest part of the mountain where it was difficult. This is where Clark felt he could get some peace away from it all. The area was nice and beautiful he wonder if he could turn this place into his place of solitude. A nice fortress of solitude when he just wanted to get away from it all.
Clark walked further up the mountain he then saw a pile of rocks that for some reason reminded him of his dad. Clark thought back to that one story his father told him a long time ago. The time when his father was 12 when he tried to save the farm from the water problem. He remembered how his dad told him that he was praised as a hero by his grandmother only for his heroism to be crushed the next day. That they caused all the life form to wash away and how the nightmares of dying animals haunted him for a while. Clark remember asking his dad 'did the nightmares ever stop?' His father replied, 'Yeah. When I met your mother. She gave me faith that there was good in this world. She was my world.'
That answer from his father reminded Clark that the people who loved and cared for him was what he needed to get through this. That his mother and the love of his life, Mia, was his world. They reminded him that they see the good in him and that's all that matters.
Clark eyes began to burn at the unshed tears he had. "I miss you, dad." His eyes clenched shut trying to hold back the tears. Clark stood there in silence the only sound was the wind. It was the peace he needed, but he knew he had to go back. It only been two days, yet he still missed Mia terribly.
Clark then decided that it was time to go home and face his problems, not run from them.
Clark landed on the balcony of his apartment and texted Mia that he is back and is on his way over. Before he sent the text he did notice that he had miss calls and text from Mia since he left and that was a long while ago. Clark did not mean to leave so suddenly without saying anything, but he just need some alone time.
Clark took off his winter coat and changed into something lighter before he walked over to next door.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Mia, it's me, Clark!" Clark waited for a few moments, but no answer. "Mia, are you there?!" Still nothing but silence. Clark then lowered his glasses and looked through the door in the apartment. The place was quiet, empty and dark. Clark thought it was odd because she usually like to stay in this time of night.
'Maybe she had to run a few errands?' Clark thought. Clark then decided he would call her and see where she was.
It rang a few times until it stopped. "Hey, Mia-"
"The show is about to start, Clark Kent." The unknown person at the other end with a distorted voice said then hung up. Clark eyes widened in puzzlement and fear as his mind began to drift to worried filled thoughts. What happened to Mia? Where is she? Was she safe? Was she hurt?
Clark's eyes went red in rage as he thought of someone hurting his Mia. If anyone harmed a hair on Mia's head they may not survive the night.
DING!
Clark felt the phone vibrate in his hand from receiving a text. Clark had prayed that it was Mia telling him that she was alright and she was almost home. The optimistic thoughts were immediately shut-down when he saw the text was unknown.
Unknown: Met us here.
Another text was sent of a map on the location on where to meet them and to hopefully find Mia. Dropping the phone, Clark immediately raced toward the location.
...............
Her head was pounding like crazy when she finally gained conscious. Everything around her was still kind of fuzzy as she tried to get a grasp of what happened and where she was. She suddenly hear heavy footsteps make there way toward her. The footsteps stopped as the person now stood beside Mia's body. She then felt cold fingers brush softly against her cheek causing her to flinch.
"Wake up, beautiful. The show is about to start."
