The days began to pass quickly and the day he knew that the next murder would occur was approaching. He had given up on Kokichi after the first disastrous attempt. He wasn't going to be running after him like some lost puppy. He had caught Kokichi looking at him a few times, but he chose to ignore it. If Kokichi wanted to talk to him, no one was stopping him.

Trying to get Kaito onboard was proving difficult as well. Kaito didn't listen to half of what he said and often went off on his own strange tangents. Just when he thought all hope was lost all hope he saw something peculiar. Kokichi was standing outside his dorm room door with his back to him.
"Kokichi?" The boy stopped suddenly, slipping something into his pocket and turning around in one fluid motion.
"Oh! Hi Shuuichi!" His voice was high and forced, "Did Gonta not catch you? That's too bad." He knew that this was coming and he had prepared the day before just in case. This was the prime time to get through to Kokichi.

"So how many motive videos do you have now?" He said cooly, Kokichi scowled and folded his arms defensively in front of him,
"How did you..." he muttered under his breath, he shook his head slightly and returned his eyes back onto Shuuichi, "Not enough. I couldn't find yours anywhere." Shuuichi grinned and pulled out the small tablet from his inside pocket and waved it in the air causing Kokichi's scowl to harden. "So you did know." Shuuichi nodded and replaced the tablet back into his pocket before Kokichi got any ideas,
"I told you I know what's going to happen, don't you think that would be a cool weapon to have on your side?" Kokichi's eyes narrowed, he had obviously said something of interest to him. "You help me with what I want, I'll help you with what you want."

"You've seemed to have forgotten that I want this killing game to continue," what was Kokichi playing at, he didn't want this. This wasn't going to work if he didn't take a different approach. Kokichi wasn't going to let down his facade this early, and Shuuichi was going to have to deal with that.
"But what about trying to prevent what i know to be inevitable, wouldn't it be fun to change history?" Shuuichi could see the boy's face screwed up in a mix of curiosity and frustration. "I'll even join your organisation when we get out of here." Kokichi's eyes lit up suddenly.
"Why are you so confident you would be let in Shuuichi?" Kokichi raised a finger to his chin in mock confusion, "although, it would be helpful to have a detective to help us evade police detection and stuff!"

"If that's what it takes." Shuuchi averted his eyes. It would be worth anything to not see anymore deaths. Kokichi gave a high laugh that rang around the dorms,
"Wow, you're so desperate! You really are pathetic Shuuichi, but it can't be helped. Fine I'll help, but if this doesn't turn out interesting I might have to kill you." There was a second silence where he wasn't 100% sure if Kokichi was lying or not, "just kidding! But you will regret it Shuuichi." Kokichi approached him, "just like you'll regret hiding things from me now." Kokichi suddenly slid a hand across Shuuichi's chest, running his fingers over the curve. Shuuichi jumped back, but Kokichi's other hand caught him.
"Kokichi! What are you..." he started, but gasped as the hand slipped through the gap in his shirt, "sto...!" his body shook slightly as Kokichi brushed his bare skin with a single finger. What was happening? His body wouldn't move, it was as though his legs were made of lead and were pulling him deeper into the ground.

He felt a weight lift off his chest and the hand withdrew from his shirt. Kokichi held up a small tablet and waved it slightly as Shuuichi had done earlier.
"Well that was fun! But you didn't really put up much of a fight," Kokichi smiled slyly.
"You were holding me in place!" Shuuichi retorted, the temperature in his body rising.
"Hardly, and I really thought you would have tried harder to stop me from getting this," he waved the tablet again before replacing it into a small bag he had around shoulder. Shuuchi could just make out a dozen more lined neatly inside. "Well I can't stop you from being a total pushover, Shuuichi!" He laughed and pushed the bag behind him and out of the way, winking. "See you!" And before Shuuichi had even opened his mouth to argue that he was not a 'pushover' Kokichi was gone and was swallowed by the darkness outside.

He tried to slow down his heavy breath. His body tingled and felt hot where Kokichi had touched him. Maybe he really was a pushover. There was no way Kokichi could have overpowered him, his size and build were much smaller than his, so why couldn't he do anything! He shouldn't have let Kokichi walk all over him like that, but luckily Shuuichi had achieved his first major goal. That being getting Kokichi to cooperate with him. The only major problem now was actually stopping the killings.
