What was sleep anymore. Irrelevant that's what. No need for it. He had to tell himself that hourly as drowsiness began to kick in, but never resulting in sleep. The constant repeating of 'sleep won't be a problem once the killing is over' and 'sleep didn't matter to begin with, it's all trivial anyway'. He gave a large yawn and rested his head in his arms drowsily.
"Nyeh, I get you Saihara..." a lazy voice groaned from the other side of the table. Himiko looked as tired as him, he would have been worried that someone looked that tired, but since it was Himiko it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

He managed a small nod and let his head drop a couple centimetres lower down his arm.
"Come on guys we need a bit more enthusiasm, being tired is for the weak!" A boisterous voice boomed, causing a throbbing to occur in Shuuichi's head.
"I agree, the mood in here is far too somber and down, we gotta step our attitudes up a bit!" Shuuichi looked up slightly. Kaede and Kaito were standing up hands in a pumped up position. Obviously in the hopes of raising everyone's spirits. "Wow, it's like you're some superhero team that spreads optimism!" Tsumugi said, her expression that of someone who was clearly in awe.

Shuuichi had to agree. The only brain cells that was currently working in his brain at the time were telling him that a spin off involving Kaede and Kaito as some pessimism busters was in order. He would be happy to fund it when it got up and running. He might even help out with filming if he got the chance.

Kaede chuckled and threw a look at Shuuichi before opening her mouth again,
"Haha, well I think it's good to be hopeful about things! If you don't you'll miss out on life's opportunities."
"Ha! Pick your words a little more carefully blondie, we are in a killing game you know." Miu said in an obnoxious tone. The room went silent except for the occasional awkward scuffing of a chair on the ground.
"It only becomes a problem if you draw attention to it, stupid! Only a person with no brains would bring that up!" Kokichi propped up hands on his hips and a soft pout on his face, "you fit that description so I guess can't blame you~"

"Y-you little twerp! I was just stating a fact!" Miu exclaimed arms flailing as she tried to recover the situation. It almost felt like nothing had ever happened. Kokichi and Miu were bickering as always and Kaede and Kaito were being overly encouraging. He sighed into the crook of his arms. He never wanted this to change.

"Hey hey, stop that. We shouldn't be fighting amongst each other." Kaito pestered, moving to get in between the Kokichi and Miu.
"What? cos a little argument will start the killing game? Please!" Miu exclaimed hortily.
"Upupupupu~ that might be exactly what we need!" Monokuma appeared out of nowhere, climbing his way onto the dining table. "Ahem! Well since no one has made any type of effort to start killing each other I feel like I myself will have to move this along. I truly expected better from you guys... but whelp! So goes life!"
"What are you getting at." A deep voice reverated around the room.

"I'm glad you asked Avocado hair! I'm going to instigate a time limit! Tomorrow night at 10pm, if no one is dead by then everyone goes 'bye bye'!" There was a chatter that filled the room at these words, even the main optimists of the group showing signs of fear. "Well Ta Ta! That's all!"
"He just comes and leaves as he pleases." This voice put the Rantaro's to shame. It was a surprise that something so low and deep could come for something that small.

"What? Are you guys just gonna sit there and worry your asses off?" Ahh here we go, the voice of reason. "You can't just take this lying down! We need to fight back against that beast!" A few highly athletically capable people murmured in agreement, leaving Kaito looking pretty pleased with himself. Shuuichi felt kind of left out, but his limp and unable body held him back. He would never admit that, not under many if not any circumstances. To everyone else, he presented himself as an elite body builder that could crush buildings with a stare. He would rather have his toes nibbled off by piranhas than admit he would struggle to carry his school backpack for over 10 minutes. He mentally backtracked kicking himself internally. Bad choice of phrasing.
