"What are we to do with you?" Kokichi said pacing up and back the dining hall, eyes not straying from Miu who sat in the middle of the group trembling. "I say we lock her up." They had just returned from the class trial which had ended in the gruesome execution of Himiko Yumeno. From there they had been forced to vacate the area and come back up to the surface. It was painfully obvious that no one was in any fit state for another confrontation, but there was still one issue that hadn't been resolved down in the trial room.

They were all now sitting around the dining hall, all except Tenko who had resigned to her room as soon as the elevator doors opened. He did feel extremely bad for Tenko, but she had also been a main contributor to Kaito's death.
"Isn't that a little harsh?" Kaede said with a sympathetic look over at Miu who looked terrified at the idea.
"She tried to kill! Get that through your dumb head! We can't have killers running loose, that goes for that psychotic feminazi as well." Kaede but her lip, glancing a sideways look at Shuuichi and fell silent. "Yeah I thought so, anyone else against that idea? No? Alright then!"

"Wait but that's inhuman!" Kiibo retorted,
"What about it Tin Can, you wouldn't have any idea about what's inhuman and what isn't, you're not a real person." Kokichi said sourly, poking Kiibo hard in the chest with a single finger.
"Kokichi..." Shuuichi said softly, when it became clear that no one had heard him he cleared his throat,
"Kokichi, I don't think locking her away will make much difference. We all know her task now, if she were to try and kill me again the blame would be put straight away on her, I don't think she will do anything to me."

"T-t-that's right! There's no way I'm gonna hurt Shuuichi, I never wanted to in the first place...!" Miu began, trailing off into a panicked silence. Everyone seemed to be looking in contrastingly different spots. No one seemed to want to catch anyone else's eye and Shuuichi couldn't blame them. They had all just been through a class trial where one of their friends was found guilty of murdering another and now this was happening.
"Even so... I'm not certain I can trust you," Kiibo said with a furrowed brow. A few heads nodded in a silent and awkward agreement.
"What if we just keep her on a sort of house arrest in her lab. That way she is confined to an area we can keep an eye on."

Miu looked up at Rantaro who had just proposed the compromise in a half hopeful half sad way.
"W-what if she makes something in there to..." Tsumugi stammered, looking anywhere, but where Miu was,
"She won't be making anything." Rantaro interrupted before Tsumugi could finish, causing her to quieten abruptly.
"It's a bit better," Kaede murmured, her hand resting at her chin, "I mean it still seems mean..."
"Mean...?" Kokichi's voice was low and dangerous, "and what that skank did wasn't? You lot piss me off, you still worry about what's mean and nice and your morals when everyone's lives are on the line, you're jeopardising lives! You're stupid if you don't realise that." He scowled before turning around and exiting the room without another word or glance at anyone.

Shuuichi watched the final piece of white clothing whisk around the door frame. He had sounded so genuine... yet... he still wasn't sure whether this was simply another act or not. Was he really the mastermind? The issue had slipped his mind during the trial, but the looming suspicion was back and in full swing. He couldn't be sure in either context. His suspicions might be for naught, but there was the possibility that Kokichi really was behind all this.

"As much as I hate it, Ouma is right." Maki said, she was standing to the very back of the room and if she had not just contributed to the conversation, he wouldn't have even realised she was there. "Even if she says she won't attack Shuuichi, there is still a possibility that she will, her life is still threatened by her task."
"Right..." Kaede muttered and gave a resigned nod, "so is everyone in favour of Rantaro's plan?" There was a long silence at her words. No one said anything, but the mutual silence was enough of an answer.
