CHAPTER 1

Lucienne's POV

“….. I would like to run a CT scan just to make sure…” said an annoying voice around me. Groining I stuck out my hand out of the bed looking for the off switch on that stupid alarm clock while trying to open my eyes that were feeling like they had super glue on them since they wouldn’t open.

As soon as did this, the annoying voice stopped, shocking me enough that I could finally open my eyes.  Peering around I soon realized with dawning horror that this wasn’t my house and that the annoying voice I had mistaken for the radio soap opera I had tuned my alarm clock with so I would hurry up and wake up too was none other than a shocked looking doctor and  an equally shocked nurse. But worse of all was the fact that I knew where I was, this was a hospital room.

With that in mind, my brain instantly woke the whole way up, making me sit up abruptly. The sudden movement caused me a minor pain on the back of my head making me wince. That made the doctor wake up from his shock and he instantly came to my bed to try and examine my head. Scooting away from him proved to be an even worse idea because the pain came back only more acute.

“Where are my parents?” I asked in a raspy voice while clutching at my head, the pain was getting worse and worse.

I heard a gasp and I slowly turned my head to look at the nurse that now had a sad-struck expression and was looking at me as if I were a lost puppy or something.

“Susan would you give us a moment?” The doctor said.

“Of course doc, I’ll be outside” sniffling Susan left the room.

I turned my attention to the doctor than now had a clip board and still had a little bit of his earlier shock showing in his eyes.

“Hi Lucienne, I am Doctor Webber and I would like to make you some questions”

“Well that’s convenient seeing as I just made you guys a question and you still haven’t answered me” I grumbled.

That made a little sympathy creep in to his eyes, sympathy I didn’t want. I was in a hospital room with what looked like a concussion and this guy still hadn’t wasn’t telling me were my parents were, I tried remembering but that only made my head hurt even harder. Grounding my teeth together I waited for the doc to answer.

“That’s why I need to question you so I can figure out how much I can tell you without hurting you”

That got my attention. “Ok shoot”

With a relieved grin he started. “What’s your name?”

“Is that a trick question?” I asked, my sarcastic nature getting the better of me.

That made him frown. Sighing I answered.

“I’m Lucienne Lucnar, 16 years old, I have two brothers one is named…”

 ”Stop it"

"Stooop iitt"

"Argh you are impossible"

"Argh you are impoooossible"

Frowning on my messed up mind I kept going.

“…. Ian Lucnar, 6 years old, my other brother is Michael Jr.  He is 8 years old…..”

"Ahh you're so lucky to have kid brothers" my best friend Zoey commented.

I stared at her in disbelief and didn’t comment she didn’t know how lucky she was to be an only child.
