chapter sixteen

Eva

I slipped into my bathing suit and excited the hotel room, the girls following behind me.

I looked back at Makayla and said "do you want to go get some coffee first?"

She smiled warmly at me and said "yes! There's actually a coffee stand on the beach, down towards the boardwalk"

I nodded and she then fell in-line with walking next to me, Mahogany spoke up from behind us, "all the guys are already down there so I guess we'll get coffee and meet them?"

With all agreeing we walked out of hotel and out into the hot weather.

Florida is my all time favorite place to be, the parties, the hot weather, the fucking beach.

It is lifting my mood to be honest and I'm happy about it.

Madison pointed out a group of boys who were near the coffee stand that were staring at us, she said "ouuu the hotties are lurking"

I looked at Makayla who was looking at me with sympathy, but you know what? I'm single now and if Jacks bitch ass doesn't want to be apart of my life then I refuse to mope around and be sad about it.

I strutted towards the coffee stand that read MONETS across the top.

I smiled at the woman taking my order and I said "can I get a large ice coffee with a shot of expresso?"

She nodded and typed on the iPad, smiling up towards me and saying "your total comes to 5.03"

I handed her my card and the other worked behind her was making my drink.

The other girls order and I reached for my drink and opened a metal straw which they had given us, you know, since we have to save the turtles:)

I slipped on my sunglasses and sipped my drink waiting for the girls to finish.

I looked back at the group of hot tan beach boys and they walked towards us, I smiled but tried to play hard to get.

The really tan skinned one caught my eye immediately.

His smile was straight and white and he was honestly beautiful, he said "what's up? My name is Garrett" he held his hand out for mine and I shook it saying, "Hi"

He held onto my hand and turned towards his friends introducing them to us, "this is Josh, and that's Jared. Do we get the pleasure of knowing your names?"

We all introduced ourselves and Makayla walked away, must be because Johnson was starring her down.

Madison was flirting with Jared and Mahogany was having a conversation with Josh.

Garrett was all mine.

"Where are you from?" He asked finally letting go of my hand and standing in front of me.

I smiled sweetly at him and said "I was born in Indiana but I moved to Omaha Nebraska, and I'm actually about to move again haha, to LA."

He raised his eye brows and laughed, "looks I've got an explorer on my hands. I'm from Kentucky actually, and I've been there ever since haha."

I giggled sweetly, I haven't lost my game which is fucking great.

Josh called Garrett's name and said, "Garrett, me and Mahogany were just talking about going on the jet skies, sound like a plan?"

He looked at me for approval and I nodded smiling widely, this should be fun!

We all started walking toward three bright orange jet skies that were in the water but while walking to them we walked past the guys and Makayla, who looked at us oddly.

My covered eyes fell on Jack, who looked extremely pissed off and I could feel myself smirking. Good I hope he realizes what he lost and hates himself for it. Fuck that asshole.

I decided to juice his anger so I slid up hand down Garrett's arm affectionately and introduced him.

They all greeted each other and he looked at jack and smiled, oh fuck.

Jack rolled his eyes and gave me the "really" look.

I shrugged and looked up at Garrett, "we should go in the water now."

He nodded and laced his finger with mine.

She knew exactly how to make me jealous.

And that's what she was going, she's trying to piss me off. That only means she still cares.

I need someone else's advice on what to do.

I turned towards Johnson and he already knew what was up.

We walked somewhat away from the group and sat down in the sand.

I watched Eva cling onto that tool and jump waves. She looked so happy, it was killing me.

"What did I do?" I shook my head and pulled my eyes away from the heart breaking scene happening in front of me.

"That's what I'm thinking. What the hell Gilinsky? You guys are soulmates, why'd you break up with her?" He looked at me like I was the stupidest person in the world, and frankly I am.

"I messed up big time. I need to get her back."

My gaze went back to her and Johnson spoke the hurtful truth, "Good luck idiot"
