I stopped typing momentarily to look at the door when the sound of knocking echoed throughout the room."Yes?" I exclaimed and rubbed my shoulders.
It opened and in walked the man who was supposed to be at his workplace in all his glory.
"Jimin," I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. "You can't just leave your work all the time to see me..."
He reached my desk and sat down opposite me while giggling. "I can't help it, baby. I just keep missing youuuu~"
What a child...
"I can't hear your thoughts but I bet you were thinking how childish I was," he said, cupping his face and shooting me an adorable grin.
I chuckled softly. "At least you know that you're a baby. If you miss me, you can just call me or text me, you know?"
He stood up and leaned down over the table to capture my lips and I kissed him back with the same intensity. He held my jaw before tilting his head and deepening the kiss.
Breaking it after what seemed like forever, he smiled, gazing into my eyes and cheekily whispered, "But can I do this through the phone?" before licking his lips.
Oh, you little shit.
I squinted my eyes at him to cover the blush of my cheeks. "Well played, mister."
"Thank you, baby." He smirked and sat back down. "I'm also here to tell you something."
I looked over my paperworks before mumbling, "What is it?"
He cleared his throat and I lifted my head up to look at him.
"I... met Yoongi today," he said, his expression turning solemn.
I froze.
"He was doing well. It seemed like your uncle did a very good job," he said, nodding with a smile.
"H-" I gulped. "How's he?"
"He's doing well, too. I heard the authorities were displeased with everything he did but since he's a respected and valuable specimen in the underworld, they couldn't get rid of him... So they forbid him from setting foot on earth and he's still working there at his position now."
I was unknowingly tearing up. Ever since he left me at the hospital, I was always worried about how he was and when he was coming back to me wearing his usual warm smile.
When everyone said they didn't know who he was, I was stricken with terror and was unable to sleep, afraid that he was sentenced to be erased from this world.
I bit my lips, nodding slowly. "As long as he's alive and well, it's fine..."
Jimin silently brought his hands up to wipe my teary eyes.
"That must be why my parents and all his colleagues forgot about him... He's not coming back, right?" I sniffled. "It's just... I'm sad that I couldn't say goodbye to him or tell him how much he meant to me... that I can't see him again..."
He retracted his hands and placed an envelope on my table before me.
"What's this?" I held it up to inspect it.
"It's from your uncle. Yoongi gave it to me."
I bit my bottom lip as I held it tightly. "Thank you."
He hummed and continued to wipe my tears.
I looked up at the ceiling to take a deep breath and huffed out to calm down my sobs.
"You know what, I'm staying here until you're done with your work," Jimin suddenly said.
"What?" I frowned at him. "What about your students?"
He shrugged. "I can't leave my baby when she's like this."
My heart swelled at that, but I couldn't have him get in trouble because of me.
"It's alright, Jimin." I held his hands, giving him a soft smile. "I'm fine now. You shouldn't leave your students hanging, it's already bad that you left your work to come here."
He was about to argue but I cut him, saying, "No buts. I'll be fine, baby."
After contemplating for a while, he nodded with much reluctance and pouted. I gestured for him to come closer and placed a kiss on his forehead.
His phone suddenly rang and he said, "I should go now then" after checking the caller.
With a tug of my lips, I nodded.
He looked around my room while sighing and stopped when his eyes landed on a bouquet of white roses that was placed on the window sill behind me.
"What are those flowers for?"
I turned around to look at them and mumbled, "Oh... they're just... um..."
"You're visiting Rena?"
I sucked my teeth and nodded at him.
"Then I'll go with you," he said but I shook my head.
"It's fine, Jimin. I'll go alone. Someone should be at work right now." I raised an eyebrow.
"Lyn," he whined and I had to personally take him to the door to send him off.
I kissed him on the lips and chuckled, "Bye, Jimin! Go now!"
With a sigh, he kissed me again and walked out while grumbling.

The cool autumn breeze was refreshing but melancholic, drawing out pensive thoughts and wistful feelings.
I placed the bouquet of roses on the resting place of my dearest friend who left me much earlier than we both expected.
There were other types of flowers that were placed beside mine, from her parents and relatives, from my parents, from her friends, and mostly, from someone she loved the most.
"Oh," a deep voice sounded from behind me as footsteps clicked against the pavements.
I swiftly turned around to see Taehyung walking up to me with purple roses in his hands. His hair was disheveled and his face was drained of color and energy. He was surprised to see me there like I was with him.
"Hey," I whispered, smiling at him.
