^Guys I have found the culprit

BILLIES POV

"What now?"

"You've got some explaining to do."

"Jesus what do you want from me?!" I yelled

"Billie, we all just want you to be happy; and last I heard you were going to see Kat. What happened?" He asked kindly.

"Don't worry about it. It was a mistake." I said wiping at my fallen tear.

"Billie, why are you here? You don't love him."

"I shouldn't have to prove myself to anyone-" I yelled before Eli cut me off.

"Billie! Do you not remember calling me?!" He yelled back.

"Billie, Brandon is fine, stop calling." Eli said annoyed.

"Geez hello to you too. Actually, that's not why I'm calling. You were right. Kat's the one. Like sure Brandon is great, but she's the one for me."

"That's great Billie, I'm happy for you guys." He said.

"Thanks, but it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you. You and Fin really talked some sense into me. I was acting like a fucking bozo so thank you." I said smiling.

"Oh don't worry about it. I knew you guys would work through it all. Are you on your way there right now?" He asked.

"Yeah I am. I'm so fucking nervous bro." I said fiddling with my fingers along the steering wheel.

"Do you know what you're going to say?" Eli asked excitedly.

"Not really, I'm just going to let whatever needs to come out, come out. I'm just so excited to see her, hold her, kiss her, and tell her I love her." I gushed.

"Jesus," he said.

"What?"

"You're whipped." He laughed.

"I'm in love."

"It was different then."

"How?! That happened one day ago! You can't go and say how much you love and miss her, then say you don't in one fucking day."

"I can do whatever the fuck I want. But when did I ever say I didn't love and miss her?! Of course I do. I love her so much it fucking hurts, Eli. It's killing me. I can love and miss her as much as I possibly can but she doesn't want me." I cried.

Eli walked over without saying a thing before wrapping his arms around me, letting me cry in his shoulder.

"What happened Bill?" He whispered.

I got out of his grasp and sat in the chair across from me, collecting myself.

"I chose her, but she doesn't want me. She wanted to know how I picked. On my part, I was fucking dumb; I didn't word it the way I should've, I didn't tell her the whole process, y'know?" I said sniffling, "and she ended up thinking that I never wanted her, and the only reason I was there was because I was told to. But that's not true, I love her." I cried.

Eli nods along listening intently.

"She just got tired of waiting, she got tired of me... She told me to come here. Her words have been stuck in my head all day." I said wiping my tears.

"What did she say?" He asked to putting his hand on my knee reassuringly.

"She got mad when I kissed her, then yelled 'I need you to go. Leave. Go see Q.' And she was all up in my face, she wanted to hurt me."

"Why would she say that?" He asked

"I have no idea, we were perfectly fine last night and this morning, then out of nowhere she wants nothing to do with me." I cried.

Eli pulled me into his side and let me cry it out.

"I love her,"

"I know Bill."

"And I lost her."

"You'll get her back bil don't worry." He said running his fingers through my hair.

I sat up and got out of his arms, "No, you don't get it. She doesn't want me back. I don't make her happy anymore, I only hurt her."

"That's not true bil."

"That's what she told me, so obviously it is!"

"I still don't believe it." He said.

"Eli, she doesn't want to be with me. And despite how much that kills me, I have to learn to be happy with people that do. Q's my only chance to be happy. So please just let it happen."

Eli sighs in defeat and stands up.

"I really don't think it's the right choice, but I know I won't be able to stop you." He says.

"Thanks Eli." I said as I walked back into the room closing the door behind me.
