NIGHTBLADE

Chapter 1

500 years ago, in ancient China, there lived an emperor who ruled over the land. He ruled a peaceful and powerful court in the empire and his people admire his success. His name was Emperor Draco Tan.

Before his empire even existed, the land was divided into four areas: The North, East, South, and West.

He ruled on the Southern part of the land but as he is too ambitious that he wanted to expand his empire. It didn't take long before he took over both the east and west area.

After two or three weeks of strategic thinking and planning, Draco finally took over the northern part of the land.

Although as humble as he is, he didn't take all the credit for himself. He even thanked his army for their hard work and sacrifice.

Everything under Emperor Draco Tan's reign was going smoothly like a dove flying in the wind. Then one day, the sky suddenly turned black.

His people began to worry. The very next day, all of their crops failed and they grew very hungry. Not only that, but there was also hardly any water to drink nor didn't even rain for the following week!

These complaints were sent to the emperor and he tried everything he could to set things straight.

The following day, black clouds began to shroud the entire land and cries of people screaming followed after another.

As the emperor began investigating, he saw them. Monsters. Demons. They were killing people's insight and eating them alive!

Quick on his feet, the emperor ordered his men to fight the vicious creatures and save his people. But as his army fended off the monsters, something emerged from the shadows. A huge black dragon with purple scales flew in and killed them all in one fell swoop!

Then the dragon flew up and landed on top of the emperor's castle and let out a mighty roar. The emperor got out of his castle and met its gaze.

"I'm going to enjoy getting rid of your kind." it said with a vicious grin "Now DIE!"

It then inhaled a lot of air and let out another deafening roar but this time, bursts of purple flames erupted from the ground and wiped out half of the entire land! KA-BOOM!!!

When the flames died, there were ashes left on the ground. There were no signs of life in the area.

For the next seven years, the dragon flew above the land searching for any human life left to devour. Little did it know, there are a few remaining survivors who are hiding underground away from the vicious creature. Only a handful of the emperor's soldiers were left to protect them though.

With the emperor gone, people began to feel hopeless that they might never see the light ever again.

But among all of the people there, one of them believed that there is still hope for all. And that same person is Omegas Han.

He was one of Emperor Draco's mighty soldiers but people around him doubted that there could be any hope left. Not while the Black Dragon, as they began to call it, is still in the area.

However, Omegas was willing to try and end the Dragon's reign of terror. So one night, he sneaked out of the hideout undetected and walked straight to the emperor's broken castle where the Black Dragon sleeps.

When he finally arrived, he was shocked by the look of his surroundings. Seeing the burnt ashes of his fallen comrades, his majesty and his fellow people made Omegas furious and even more determined to kill the Black Dragon.

"HEY DRAGON!" He cried out loud, "Come on out and face me!"

"Is that so?" boomed a loud voice.

Omegas unsheathed his sword and looked around him carefully."Where are you? Show yourself, you fiend!"

Suddenly a shadowy figure towered above him. He looked up and saw the Black Dragon spreading its wings. "Very well. But you will regret the day you challenged me"

Omegas held his sword in front of him trying to show no sign of fear. "Come to me!"

An hour later, ----- BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! CRASH! ----- The fight had begun. The Black Dragon shot a wave of purple fireballs at Omegas but he managed to dodge each one of them!

Then the dragon shot another fireball near Omegas just before he had the chance to dodge it! KA-BOOM!! He crashed to the ground hard.

"Now PERISH!" The dragon roared and released another fireball at him

KA-BOOM!!

The dragon laughed menacingly, "A puny human like you can never match a superior being like me!"

Then something caught his eye. A shadowy figure appeared in the smoke. The dragon narrowed its eyes. As the smoke cleared, Omegas stood there still alive, but his eyes are closed and are surrounded by a mysterious blue energy.

"WHAT?!" The Black Dragon couldn't believe what it saw. "How could you have survived that attack?!"

Omegas didn't reply. Then his eyes shot open revealing fierce blue eyes. Suddenly a wild tornado appeared out of nowhere followed by the sound of an eagle's cry.

Then the Black Dragon looked up and saw a ray of blue light coming from the top of the tornado and it dived down towards the dragon. A split second before the Dragon could react, the blue light shaped itself into a huge sword and slashed through the beast.

SLASH!!! KABOOM!!! And everything went black...
