The very next day, Damian woke up from the sound of the alarm. As he turned it off, he could feel the medallion glow around his neck. Suddenly, he saw the blue bird beside the bed.


"Seems a bit odd to wake up early morning, boy." The blue bird said,


"You have no idea." Damian replied. "And quit calling me "boy," my name is Damian."


The door suddenly opened, and his aunt came in the room.


"Damian? Is someone else in the room?"


The moment he got dressed, he went out, and rode on his bike to school.


Everything feels normal around him for the first 5 minutes...until....


"I'm getting BOOORED." The blue bird wailed.


"Shush! Pipe down will you?" Damian whispered.


"Uh, I am piped down."


Then he noticed his classmates looking at him, confused.


"Mr. Molina." the teacher said as Damian turned to her, "Is there a problem?"


"Uh, no ma'am. Sorry." Damian replied.


An hour later, it was break time. Damian sat alone on a bench just outside the building in the football field.


"*sigh* Well that was embarrassing," he said.


"My apologies, boy." The blue bird replied, "but it seems as if they can not see nor hear me."


"I thought you agreed to not call me "boy"?"


"My apologies, Damian-boy."


"Jeez. And I still don't know your name." Damian sighed.


He then got up and headed straight to the canteen. As he was trying to find a place to sit down, he saw Maria pass by but suddenly slipped and her books flew in the air.


Seconds before she fell to the floor, without having to think, Damian swooped in and caught Maria in his arms. As for the books, he caught them with his other hand just before he got the chance to look at what he was doing.


Damian blinked. "What happened just now?" he thought to himself.


He lifted Maria back to her feet and handed the books to her. He noticed all the other students were watching.


"Thank you." Maria said, "Nice reflexes."


"Uh, t-thanks." Damian replied,
