NIGHTBLADE

Chapter 9

An hour had passed, and the fight continued to rage on. The giant stone bull continues to blast a barrage of fireballs at NightBlade as he tries his best to evade and block every attack with his sword.

When he blocked another fireball, a second one blasted him to a nearby building. CRASH!!

Okay. I think I've had enough of this. NightBlade muttered to himself. He slowly stood up and cracked his knuckles. He then jumped out of the building and rode the wind to fly.

The bull flared its nostrils. "Still standing are you?"

NightBlade drew his sword and gripped it tightly in his hand. "Why don't we put an end to this?"

Suddenly, his eyes began to glow blue and saw the same words he read from before. Without hesitation, he shouted, "Element Shift: Aqua Variant!"

His medallion glowed, and a swirl of water tornado surrounded his body. The water tornado dissipated and his suit is replaced with light blue armor, his mask is replaced with a crystal visor, and his sword changed its form into a spear with blades on each end.

"This won't end up the way it did before!" The bull roared, as it blasted a barrage of fireballs at NightBlade

However, NightBlade saw that coming and spinning his spear, deflecting those attacks, and sending them right back at the beast. KA-BOOM!!

To his surprise, unlike the last time he used this power, he could see things clearly and his movements became swifter. He then noticed his body moved to his left and in a split second a fireball whooshed right past him.

Without a moment of hesitation, he focused his sight on the giant stone bull and charged straight at it.

He flew around and kept hitting the beast with his spear but with each swing, the wounds of the beast kept healing itself. Out of frustration, he spun his spear above him and all of a sudden 3 red water pumps broke, releasing the water and formed a whirlpool around the spinning spear. He then swung his spear down and the waves came crashing down on the stone bull. SPLASH!!

The beast felt weak as steam rose around it. "I'm...not done yet!" it growled but kept dropping to the ground.

Suddenly, the molten lava began to harden, and cracks started to appear breaking the limbs off the beast.

"No. No. No. No. NO!" The beast roared as its body crumbled to the ground.

As the smoke cleared, NightBlade's armor shifted back to his black and blue style. His body was aching and he dropped to the ground exhausted. "I think I need to work out more," he said, panting.

He then noticed something glowing beneath the rubble. He got up and picked up a glowing white rock.

"Hold on. Why does this feel so familiar?" he thought

But before he could react, a white feather floated out of the rock. It fluttered around and above him and landed on the spot where his medallion was placed.

"What in the world just happened?" he thought.

He then heard the sound of police sirens coming to his way. He then cast the winds and carried him away in the nick of time.
