Jamie's POV-
The same thoughts ran through my head over and over and over. It's just two little words. That's all it is. Why is it so difficult to say two words. "Urgh", I say kinda loudly although I don't think anyone cared enough to look. I looked down at my book that I had originally been reading before my mind had been interrupted by the thought of telling my friends came into my mind. The bell rang and I packed my stuff up to go to lunch. I go into the hall to look for Jenny and Luke.
"You ready?" Says Jenny from behind me.
"Yeah, you know I was thinking we could eat outside today, the weather is nice."
"I don't know man, I still have to buy my lunch." Says Luke.
"I could go get a spot and wait for you outside."
"Sure" says Luke walking to the cafeteria while Jenny and I walk outside to find somewhere to eat. I have to tell her.
"Hey um.. Jenny, can I.. um.. dang this is harder than I thought. I just wanted to tell you.. I. I'm.. I'm gay."
"I know" Says Jenny.
"Wait what?" I say raising an eyebrow in curiosity.
"I said I know, are you deaf to?"
"What the heck do you mean you knew, how.. you mean i've been stressing for you to tell me you knew!?!"
"We've known each other forever. Don't you think I would have noticed?"
"I guess I've been trying to seem as normal as possible that I figured you wouldnt notice?"
"I did notice you drift off randomly and the stuff you read. That's a whole other thing entirely"
"Hey guys" Luke says
"Oh, hi"
"Did I miss something?" Luke says.
"No, just talking about that math test yesterday " Jenny says.
"So, how do you think you did?" I ask Luke.
"I don't know math isn't my strong suit."
"Oh, dang I didn't bring my water bottle, I'm gonna go buy a drink." Says Jenny while walking away she mouths 'this is your chance to tell him
"So Luke um.. I um.. just um.. I don't know.. I don't know if you'd still want to be friends or not after this but.. umm. I'm.. uh. Luke I'm gay...." I say the last part kind of as a whisper.
"Okay but why would we stop being friends over this?" he says.
"I don't know but if it made you uncomfortable or you didn't like gays or I don't know."
"Sorry that took so long, anyways I'm back the vending machine was being stupid again"
"It's okay. We are all good." I say
*After school*
"Hey Jamie what is the square root of 81?" Luke asks from across my bedroom
"nine" I say.
"Thanks, so I'm guessing you told Jenny."
"Yeah, right before you walked back from the cafeteria actually."
"And i'm also guessing you haven't told your parents because i'm currently sitting in your bedroom" he says.
"You two are the only ones who know" I say.
"Welp I'm done with my math and thanks for the help. I actually think I understand trig now."
"Of course you do" I say with a little laugh.
"I'm gonna call Jenny and see if she wants to come over." I say
"okay" he says
*5 minutes later*
"Hi. Mrs. Kathy, so good to see you"
"Hello Jenny, it's good to see you to. The boys are upstairs in Jamie's room finishing math homework." Kathy (my mom) replies.
"Hey," Jenny says entering my room.
"Sooooo. Is there anyone that you have your eye on?" Jenny says singsongy.
"Urgh, can we not talk about guys right now."
"Wanna play a game?" Luke asks with a smirk.
"YES!" Jenny basically shouts.
"Sorry" she says.
"What kind of game?" I asked
