Nik's P.O.V-

"He didn't sound right babe. I know he said he was fine but.." he said and I wrapped my arms around him. He looked so fragile. "I know. I noticed it to babe. We can go see them later, okay?" I say. "Okay. Urgh. What did I do to deserve you babe?" He says "I could say the same." I say.

After that phone call I could see that Jamie was concerned. "I love you." I say "I love you more." He says and we stand there wrapped in each others arms for a while. "Do you wanna call your dad? See how he's doing with his boyfriend?" I ask and he lights up with that. "Yeah." He says. The phone rings 3 times before he picks up.

"Hey Jamie" dan says.

"Hey dad! We have a date set for the wedding now!" Jamie says excitedly.

"What day do I need to mark my calendar for boys?" He says

"May 17th." Jamie says

"Wow. That's a while away." He says

"Yeah, we were waiting for Jen to have the baby and be big enough to take out and have people around." I say.

"How are you doing dad?" Jamie says

"I'm actually doing really good. Me and Jack went on a date last night and it was perfect. I really really like him." Dan says enthusiastically.

"That's really good dad. I'm happy for you. I think that's the first time you've said his name." Jamie says

"I guess it is. Well, with the wedding being so far away.. how about I make dinner Monday night and if you happen to meet Jack then so be it." Dan says.

"What time?" I ask

"Say 7 oclockish?" Dan says

"We will be there." Jamie says reading my mind.

They end the phone call and Jamie has a big grin on his face. "See. Now you get to meet your dad's boyfriend, Jack. "Are we still having dinner with Jen and Luke tomorrow night?" I ask "We should be. He didn't say anything about canceling it." Jamie says.

"Okay, I got a job interview tomorrow morning." I say casually. "WHAT? When were you gonna tell me!! That's great baby!" He says "Don't celebrate to quick. I still have to go to the interview haha." I say "I've also been applying for jobs. I just gave Bob my resúme. So I'm hoping to have a interview soon." He says.

"I love you baby" he says "I love you more babe." I say. "Okay so I just off the phone and the catering is covered and the photographer I decided to get. Oh and the place is booked and the priest from our old church is gonna perform the ceremony." Mom comes in listing everything she just did with a big smile plastered on her face.

"Wow. Thank you so much Grace. You've done more than I could have thought possible." Jamie says. "Aw. I would go to the moon to help you boys out. You are my family." Mom replies. "Oh! I almost forgot. Here." Mom turns around and digs through some mail and hands it to us. "Is this? MOM!! I. I can't take this. This is yours." I say.

"No, it was never meant for me. We got it when we were trying to get pregnant with you. It was set aside so long it kept collecting. It was one of those accounts you cant touch till your 18. And seeing as your 18 and your gonna be starting your own family now I only see that now would be the best time to give it to you. It was supposed to be for college but scholarships covered that. You can save it and continue to put money in it or take it out or just let it build interest." Mom says and then leaves to go to work.

"What is it." Jamie asks. "It's my trust fund." I say and hand him the paper. "Babe! That's a lot of money!" He says eyes wide. "I know. I. She won't take it back though." I say. "You know how much it costs to adopt a kid though. This could help us start a family. Even letting it grow interest or putting money in it until we are ready it will cover it." I say looking. "I've looked it up over the years." I add.

"We don't have to do anything right now. We can just sleep on it tonight and decide tomorow before your interview if you want." He says "okay" I say and put the paper in my back pocket. He leans up a bit and kisses me. Neither of us break the kiss for a good few minutes.

We walk upstairs so we can pick out an outfit for me to wear at my interview. When we picked it out we put it on my dresser. "You look sexy in that suit baby." He says. "You know what? I think you look hot in anything or nothing." I say and wink at him. I kiss him and he backs me up until the back of my knees hit the bed and I fall backwards. As I fall he sits on my hips and we never miss a beat. "Babyy." I say as he moves his hands down my body and rolls his hips to mine.

Then he finds that one spot on my collarbone that makes me moan every single time without a doubt when he kisses or sucks on it. "Oh, Fuuck... Jaamiee." I half moan out his name digging my nails  into his side. "We'll test your theory out. Take your clothes off." He whispers in my ear. I did as I was told. While he does the same. "Damn, baby you look hot as hell in nothing. Just like I said." I say flipping us to where I'm on top of him.

"Babyyyy. Oh God damn it. I love you so fucking much" he says rolling his hips as I travel my hands down his fucking flawless body. "I can't wait till your whole fucking flawless body is mine. I cant wait to be able to let you fuck me anytime you want. Wherever you want to. Babyyyy." I say. "How about I just fuck you senseless right here. Right now baby?" He says and flips us over where I'm under his body again. So that's what we do.... the rest of the day until neither of us can take it and we can't stay awake. We both succumb to sleep.

I'm starting to think this book really has a mind of it's own. This was not where I was going with this chapter at all but somehow it ended up this way. 🤷‍♀️🏳️‍🌈
