Two Weeks since the proposal

Jamie's P.O.V-
It's been two weeks since Nik asked me to marry him. We have been putting together the lists of guests we want to be at the wedding. We are just gonna have a small wedding. 100 people maybe. My list is pretty much the same as Nik's at the moment. I was currently sitting at the island counter writing down names with a cup of coffee in my hands. There wasn't that many people.

To think that out of all the time I've lived here and I know pretty much nobody on a personal level. I've stayed around the same people for most of my life.

Anyways we have a max of like 100 people that we are inviting. I think I'm done with my list. I'm just waiting for Nik to finish. We found this place that's really beautiful and has a lake and is just perfect. We are gonna wait till after Jen has the baby to have our wedding plus we want a spring wedding and its summer right now so. Do the math it's less than a year. We are gonna do it in May.

We are just gonna have a small reception and ceremony. All we need is to figure out seating, food, invitations, who's gonna perform the ceremony, exact date, outfits for wedding parties, and the money. That's just for the wedding. We also have to figure out our housing, colleges, and bills. Along with medical, dental, life and car insurance.

My dad said he would continue to pay for my medical, dental and all that until I get settled but I don't want him to stress. His date that he had that night he had apparently been seeing him for a few weeks. He was telling me about there one month coming up and gets so excited talking about there dates. I'm really happy for him. He's been so much happier since mom left. It worked out perfectly in the end.

I was so lost in thought about the wedding and my dad I jumped when a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. "Good morning jumpy" Nik says laughing at me. "Good morning babe. Sorry, I was just thinking about everything." I say and twist around in his arms so we are now facing each other. He just smiles down at me and kisses me. "Good morning boys!" Grace says as she walks into the kitchen.

"Y'all are so cute I can't even." She says and laughs while getting a cup of coffee. "Morning mom." Nik says "Morning" I say. "Oh! Have you made your list yet." I ask Nik. "I made mine last night actually." He says
"Oh and we need to set a date and figure out catering so we can send the invitations out." I say. "I know babe. I'll go get my list from upstairs. Then we can figure out a date and food." He says "Good." I say and he walk off to the stairs.

"You know I can help you find a catering and help with the invites if you'd like." Grace says. "That would be great!" I say "Y'all are really good for each other. I can see it. He looks at you and you look at him the same way me and his dad used to look at each other. I wish you could have met him, he would have loved you." Grace says with a tear in her eye.

Just then Nik comes down with his list and he hands it to me while he grabs my cup of coffee I had made taking a sip.

"I might add more but this is all I have." Nik says and kisses me. I look at the list. "Maya?" I ask confused. "Who-" "OMG YOUR INVITING MAYA!!!" Grace says while basically speed walking to us to see the list. "I was thinking about it... I put her on the list just in case.." Nik says. "Who is Maya?" I ask still confused further by Grace's response. "Maya is Nik's Jenny basically." Grace says. "She means I've known her since we were little. I'm debating because she's James' sister...." he says.
