Chapter 79: Odd

Jennie's P. O. V.

A day had passed, I told Lisa that I will work tonight since tomorrow is the most awaited moment of everyone. It is Lisa's declaration, The Lords were already off on school since yesterday. I decided to go to school today to take special exams on my missed quizzes on the past few days that I am absent.

"Mom I'm leaving!" I shouted from the living room, she's busy wiping my Dad's body.

"Be careful honey" She replied.

I quickly close the door and made my way on our gate. Honestly, I'm still thinking if I should stay in our house or attend my classes but my Dad told me to go to school and he will be alright. I trust him so I choose to follow what he said.

As I was walking through the pathway of the street, I noticed someone's following me. I look back and there's a black car not so far from me. Don't tell me it is Kai again? No. I'm really afraid of him. He pull me aggressively the last time we met, I was seriously petrified that I couldn't even say a single word to ask for help. I saw an evil beneath him, his dark aura and his eyes were the only thing that you don't want to see for the rest of your life.

He's not the Kai I know, he's not the Kai I grew up with. He got blinded on everything he has. He doesn't care about his Family who's dying just to see him. I don't know what actually happened why he escaped from the Dungeon and why the hell I'm working with Lisa as a handmaid since she has Dara, I mean I'm not complaining but I was just confused on what's happening.

While I'm busy looking on the sidewalk, someone just threw an egg on me. Luckily it didn't hit me, I quickly look on the other side of the street and saw three teenagers holding a lot of eggs.

"Yah!" I shouted on them, instead of getting scared they threw another pair of egg which I quickly dodge it as I block my books.

I look at them again with a gritted teeth but they threw another egg and thankfully this black car earlier blocked it. The door quickly open and Ser Jin Young showed up.

"Get in" He ordered. I immediately step inside the car without asking questions. Do I need to work early today?

I look outside the car and saw the three teenagers being chase by one of the guard with Jin Young. He quickly went back inside the car when he didn't made it.

"Are you okay Miss Kim?" Jin Young asked, he's looking on the rear mirror to check me then the driver drove off the road.

"Yeah. My books are not okay I guess" I said as I raise my book to show him how the eggs broke on it.

"Oh" He give me a tissue with a smile on his face "I'm glad we're not late. Why are those kids are after  you?" He asked which made me ask myself too.

I don't know what's happening, before a bunch of teenagers splash a bucket of water on me then now eggs? Is there any occasion? Last time, My Mom told me when she was buying some groceries, Everyone was looking at her and some of the vendors didn't gave what she was asking.

"I don't know.. Really" I said blankly "Anyway what makes you here?" I asked him.

"Let just say that I have a business that I should finish so I bump onto you" He answered while not looking at me.

"Ow. I really thought that the Queen needs me today" I chuckle and look my wrist watch, I still have a lot of time to study later when I arrive at school, Thank God that Jin Young arrived.

We arrive at school a few minutes after, I hurriedly step out of the car and say my goodbye to Jin Young.

"See you later. You'll be busy tonight because you'll prepare as well. The Emperor and Empress will arrive tonight as well" He happily said.
