A/N:

Hi everyone!
So this is an important Authors Note, because there may be some content that some of you wont be very comfortable with. It's in the later paragraphs, but please, please STOP when you see it coming, please. It's a choice if you want to read it or not. It's nothing very detailed or too intimate of course since it's too early for that, but it's still intimate nonetheless.
Thank you :) Enjoy<3

Chapter Twenty: More Than Just Kisses
________________

||Third Person||

Even though for the past three weeks they haven't been physically together, it felt as if they were emotionally. Lily only felt more admiration and confused feelings toward him, and Snape of course already knew he was in love with her. It just seemed impossible that he could love her more than he already does.

Every night, he'd find himself looking out the window for Lily's owl, no matter what kind of news it brought.

But this night was different. She'd be home tomorrow. She was coming home from France, and he'd be there to welcome her with embracing arms. She would be waiting to be embraced in his hold.

The very next day I woke up in high spirits.

Lily will be here soon. I need to look spiffy.

After I get dressed, I decide I don't look spiffy, but have I ever looked spiffy? No matter, Lily won't notice. She doesn't care about things like that. That's probably what had drawn me to her in the first place. She's never judged anyone, especially by their looks.

Just as I was deciding I should maybe go look for her, perhaps she was in the castle...someone was knocking at the door. It must be her.

But it wasn't. It was Dumbledore.

"Oh, hello Albus." I groaned slightly. He arched an eyebrow at me, giving me that disappointed look.

"It's nice to see you as well Severus," Dumbledore said sarcastically. "Lily is at St Mungo's delivering Harry's medical records from France. Perhaps you'd like to go get her-"

I was gone before he finished his sentence.

By the time I got to the floor she was at, I was panting and trying to catch my breath. I really needed to see her.

And there she was. Her back was to me, facing the Healer behind the counter. They were talking and I slumped against the wall, grinning to myself like an idiot. She was wearing a white winter coat, yet she was still shivering. She probably just got in from the snowy and freezing cold weather outside. Her son was all bundled up in fabric and scarves and a hat that was lopsided.

Just then, Lily turned around and our eyes locked instantly. She didn't move at first, as if shocked I would even be standing here.

She looks so perfect. Her green eyes are an inescapable maze to glory. Her red hair falls perfectly past her shoulders with loose curls. Her nose is tinged red from the outside's frostbite.

Somehow we meet halfway, and she hugs me, and I hug her as she carries her son, and even though it would've felt daring three weeks ago before we started to send letters, I kissed her lightly on the top of her head. It didn't seem forbidden anymore. Lily didn't mind either. I guess finally, finally I'm making some progress.

We're making some progress.

Sometimes I feel like we hug too much. Sometimes I feel like that isn't enough.
