Weekly updates are obviously not gonna happen for a while, but monthly ones probably will ahaha sigh.

This chap is absolutely horrid but I'll redo it in my spare time. It was kindly edited and reviewed carefully by a dearest friend of mine sophiaswag and she's honestly one of the best and funniest human beings to ever exist on this planet so make sure to check out her new stories as a blossoming (and awesome) author!

Chapter Thirty-Five: A Piece of Dark Magic
_________

||Third Person||

That night, Lily had successfully pranced into 12 Grimmauld Place like a rebellious teenager, who had snuck out of the house to see the boyfriend her overprotective and keenly instinctive parents highly disapproved of. In a very true (and bizarre) way, Sirius was the scolding mother who grouses the line "I told you so" in the prevailing situation. But Lily didn't want Sirius to think he had the least bit of authority in her decision of love life, because he would just assume she was being a traitor to James. Sirius would just want to be irrational, because he greatly disliked Severus. Love is a human need, otherwise the living race wouldn't survive. After all, they were still young and yearning, wanting to strive for the desires deserved.

She loved Sirius though. She loved him like an annoying and irritatingly goofy brother, and his opinions did influence her decisions. Lily did understand where he came from in his debates against her, even if it frustrated the wits within her: constantly. Remus was more quiet and kept unneeded words to himself, in which Lily greatly appreciated and admired, often making a mental note to be more like him. He was softhearted and supporting, yet thought quickly and smartly as if every plan or idea devised in his head had been processed for months - although it had been merely seconds. Lily silently titled him as the best person to go to advice and spiritual help for among her friends. Meaning she would tell him about Severus. Besides, how could she just keep this large and undeniably life-affecting secret tucked away and locked up?

//

Lily woke up that next morning, her lips still swollen with the sweet taste of his love lingering. She smiled to herself and breathed in the fresh crisp air as the previous evening replayed in her mind; something just seemed different. It's not the fact that she had slept with Severus last night, nor was it the fact that there was a gold metal embedded around her finger. It's what was incised into the ring.

I love you

Her eyes gleefully traveled from the item of affection to the clock on Sirius' nightstand, and concealed a scream when the time read noon. She had obliviously slept in on a work day... which was also her return as the handy and lovable apprentice for the mysterious Potions Master.

Lily ran through the corridors, attracting the curious stares of students off to the Great Hall for the lunch hour. She heard several murmurs of excitement and gossip behind her, making her shake her head in belief that her companion had indeed told the students that she left because of their 'whining' and 'dunderhead personalities'.

Her feet traveled fast to the dark, musky feeling dungeons. It smelt of herbs and spices, as if the ingredients of potions carelessly wafted around. She barged into the classroom's door, feeling exhausted to have ran straight from Hogsmeade to the dungeons. Lily stopped and flushed bright pink when everyone in the class looked up at her, including Severus. He sat behind his desk, quill in hand and an eyebrow arched expectantly. She hadn't been aware that there was a class in session. Usually this was Severus' free period, but by the looks of it, he had several students in for detention.
