...
Ohm bent over and looked at Toey upside down. They both rolled their eyes and said it at the same time:
"Boooooring!"
Ohm whined at his brother: "P' if you guys are going to talk about business, P'Toey and I are heading to his bedroom to play a game."
Ohm stood back up where he was standing behind Toey's chair and massaging his shoulders.
Heng shrugged with a questioning face at Tul. They both fluffed the boys off with waves of their hands.
Heng was again sideways in the chair and had his left ankle resting on his right knee. Like his younger brother, Heng had long legs and big feet. Tul forced himself to stop looking at them.
Heng turned back just as Tul's eyes darted away from his foot. He continued on about the heavy-duty leather-piercing sewing machine that he was investing in for the shop. He wanted Tul's advice about whether to finance it or use cash.
Heng excused himself and pulled his phone from his pocket. He looked at the time and called to the guys. They were by now more than halfway to Toey's bedroom.
"Nong'Ohm, I won't be staying too much longer. You'll have to walk home by yourself if you stay later. Let me give you some money for a taxi."
Toey spoke up and made Ohm very happy. "P'Heng, can Nong stay over? By the time we get the game set up and start, he'll have to leave."
"I think you should ask your Uncle that Nong. If it's ok with him, it's ok with me."
Ohm was holding Toey's wrist and then slid his grip down and laced their fingers
Tul nodded at Heng and faced the boys since they had walked back. "Hlan Chay, this is your home." Uncle was looking at him as though he were nuts.
Ohm moved quickly, bent and hugged his brother in the chair where he sat. "See you tomorrow Bro."
Before they reached the bedroom, the boys heard Tul invite Heng to sit outside by the pool. They made their way down the hall and to the suite where Toey was installed.
Ohm went in first and plopped down on the end of the bed. He leaned back and rested on his palms.
Toey closed the door behind himself.
Ohm said: "Lock it."
He looked back over his shoulder. "Why?"
Ohm stood and moved toward him. "Because I plan on kissing you."
Toey was convinced now that his uncle was completely wrong about Nong'Ohm. Uncle thought, and said, that Nong was not the boy-chasing type. Maybe that was true, but he definitely was more forward and outright mischievous than anyone would judge him to be.
