...  If this were really a series  ...

This week's episode would start right where it left off, with a landscape of Heng's kitchen table.  He and green are sitting at one end,  corner to corner.
Deek and Khoom mirror them at the other.
Ohm and Doc's spots are empty.

We hear Khoom say:
"He wants to invite a boy."

The opening theme music begins and the audience can no longer detect what's being said.  They can see the tension though,  it has risen, reared its head again between the two youngest siblings.

Deek is visibly upset and moves his chair away from Khoom.  He isn't eating anymore.  Deek is slowly using a spoon to chop everything on his plate into bits.

The people at home see Green's eyes.  He and Heng are surprised to discover the issue was not resolved.
The theme music fades and we listen to both brothers ask where their P'Ohm is.

...

It's a trick.  The kitchen table and the handsome men sitting at it,  dissolve into a scene the series lovers are familiar with.
The director has taken us back to the sidewalk and the day Max asked a thirsty Deek for help carrying the bags.
More importantly,  to the day Deek first laid eyes on Niichi.

...

The bags were heavy and Deek lagged behind.  Max's friend introduced himself.  Deek thought he was funny and kooky.

Ark asked Max how he knew the lad.  He and Max were bobbing between the other's sharing the sidewalk.

"Tul used to have a crush on Nong'Deek's older brother."

Ark, on the outside, was a very masculine man. He was taller and more slender than Max, but they were similar in that they were both so fit.  His voice, however, betrayed him and his machismo.

His reply and returned query was littered with glitter and made Deek think of the gay pride parade he'd attended.

Ark looked back and over his shoulder at Deek.   "Oh,  really?  And what, pray-tell, is his name?"

Max loved Ark's sense of humour.  He could only shake his head.  "His name is Heng,  but...  you're out of luck, friend."

Ark repeated the name several times and did so by sugarcoating it.
"Heng...  Heng...  Heng...  that's Chinese...   it means constant."
