The doctor's testimony was damning for Tenten.

He told the judge that Ten's obsessive love for Tul was never really the kind of love most people think of, but rather, he was consumed with him. Tul was everything Ten could never be. Talented, bright, well adjusted, and loved by his mom and dad. He went into detail and explained the psychopathology behind the mental illness and that it had developed in Ten's early childhood.

Ten's parents didn't help move him to school. They didn't carry his things to his dorm room and hug him as though they would never see him again. His dad didn't choke back tears of pride, and his mother never cried because she'd miss him so much.

The judge commented directly to Ten. Tenten's lack of reaction made the justice scowl.
"It's remarkable that you were able to go as far as you have; you could have killed someone in your care."

Tul got high marks in school because he put the time in. Ten got his marks by the use of money, and when that didn't work, he used manipulation.

The latter worked very well for him, by the time Tul walked into the dorm where Ten was head boy, he'd honed his skills. The better liked and more popular Tul became, the more he succeeded, the greater Ten's preoccupation. Out of all the young men that attended that school, Tul zoomed to the top of Ten's list.

Bip was a pretend boyfriend, used and abused, tossed aside when convenient. His younger brother Pib became ensnared as well. By blackmailing both of the boys, Ten ensured they would do anything he asked of them. That is to say, until Ten's most recent and sick plan came to light.

Nark pulled his office door open and swung his arm. Dear, instead of following, set his coffee on the corner of the nearest desk. The officer seated there was employed with recording the serial numbers and model of the night-vision camera.

"I'd prefer to talk to this young man before we start with them."  Mr. Thanasrivanitchai walked over and crouched down in front of Kar. He put his briefcase on the chair beside the boy.

"Tell me your side of this Nong."

Kar had his palms pressed together and shoved between his knees. He pinched them there as he nervously shook.

"How could I be so stupid?  I should have known something was wrong."

"What do you mean?" Tul's father kindly held both of Kar's forearms.

"Pib, my boyfriend, he always has to have like three days' notice before I can come over to his house. He blames it on his brother, but, but..."

Kar's voice fell off. He finally found the gumption to peer past Dear and saw that both of the brothers were turned in their chairs and watching him. The pair looked scared. Nark was inside his office now and could be seen speaking to them.
