Fireballs, Water Lance, Wind cutter, Fire Lance, Earth needle, Curse, numerous sound of spells casted and explosions at Leon's and Freya's position resounded throughout the area. The wind caused by the explosion carried dusts from the ground, creating a cloud of dust and hide Leon and Freya.

The magicians were all flustered. They were supposed to cast an intermediate rank spell, but since Freya and Leon were about to use a grand magic, they immediately tried to interrupt them by any means possible and fired off beginner ranked spells that could be casted quickly.

The mercenaries also rushed out of their hiding and start running towards Crimson Lightning.

However, suddenly a bolt of lightning strikes the ground in front of them, stopping their dash.

The wind blew, clearing the cloud of dust and revealed Freya and Leon completely find. Seeing this, a mercenary who was leading the charge shouted.

"Tch, so they're not dead. Hey archers, kill them!"

A hail of arrows were fired focusing at the two.

Leon let go Freya's hand and grab her waist instead, pulling her close to him then activated his <<Lightning Armor>>.

Crimson Lightnings appeared grandly around him, crackling with vigor, as if to threaten anything that would come near its master. Thunderous sounds of lightning decimating tens of arrows resounded. Arrows turned to ashes and smoke rose, leaving the figure of Leon and Freya completely fine.

Leon let go of Freya and took out his Misteltein.

The mercenary leader shouted loudly, ordering his men to attack. However, they soon realised that there was no way they could win, even after outnumbering them this much.

Crimson Lightning immediately sprang into action. Without any instructions nor communication, all of them were able to grasp the situation and acted accordingly.

Vyra immediately disappeared from her position, and a few seconds later, the magic bombardment stopped without even a single scream.

"Oi, what happened to the magician?! Tch, what the hell are all 10 of them doing? Archers do i-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Lily fired off several magic arrows at once towards the archer. Thanks to their initial hail, she was able to track them back to their position and strike them. She has been training her aiming skills and magic skills everyday with Leon's and Mia's help, it was no wonder that she could pull it of.

Right after the fight started, Charlotte immediately cast buff spells to her friends and debuff spells to the enemy. The gap between their power which was already wide in the beginning only widens, making even the great disadvantage in numbers negligible.

Mia, who has been holding in her magic spell, cast it to support the vanguards, Leon and Rafael, who were fighting against more than 25 mercenaries equipped with poison coated weapons. Although this low level poison won't work on Leon, Rafael was in danger.

Because of this, Leon thought of giving his friends, at least Lily, Mia and Rafael, something that would protect them from ranged physical attacks such as arrows, and debuff spells. Although in the heat of battle, he had the leeway to think about that because the mercenaries, even with their numbers, weren't a threat to him. However, because he didn't want to let any of his friends got injured by accident, he returned his attention back on the battle.

More than 25 mercenaries slashed, swung, and brandished their swords of various size and shapes, but none of them managed to even put a scratch on any of the two who were the only vanguards.

Although the speed of their swords didn't undermine their status as professional mercenaries, it was slow in Leon, and even Rafael's eyes since he was used to training with Leon, Vyra and Alex. They were able to read their opponents' next moves and counter it perfectly. In addition to Mia's magical support from the back line, the fight was clearly one sided.

Iris and the royal guards who witnessed this could only stare with their jaws dropped as the mercenaries fall one by one. It was only half way through the fight that they were able to snap out and encircle the perimeter as to not let anyone escape. Although they doubt such a thing would happen.

Hails of arrows stopped and with it, the last sliver of hope that the mercenaries could cling to vanished.

The supposedly large battle against more than 30 mercenaries, archers, and magicians, were over in a few minutes with no deaths on either side.

Although they might not hold any information, Leon wanted to keep them alive in case they could become witness to Gerard House's misdeeds. In addition, the dark magician that cursed Beid and the knights might be from their group. That and of course, he didn't want any bloodshed on his new home that he will share with his precious friends.

"Ms. Iris, may we leave the assailants to you and Mr. Silverio? We might, after all, be able to find some kind of evidence from them."

"O-Of course. Knights, apprehend them!"

Iris ordered the knights to gather them in one place to apprehend them. Although she always acted that way to most people, it was a rare sight for Leon to see her radiant, noble commanding figure which made Leon smile.

Mia wiped her imaginary sweat with a relaxed expression.

"You sure took it easy huh..."

"What do you mean? I was pretty nervous too at first you know? But since Lily and Vyra took out the range fighters, I was able to have free reign. Muahahahaaha! Thanks, you two!"

Rafael looked around his friends and realised why he was the only appropriate lab rat. If it's an item that will protect the wearer from something, Freya, Charlotte, Vyra, and Alex might not even feel the threat of that something. And he wouldn't want to place Lily and Mia in that kind of situation.

"Hm, I don't really know how it will end up since I haven't made it but I want it to have the effect to activate <<Lightning Armor>>, nullify the effects of poisons, inabilities effects, curses, confusion, and other debuffs in general and also passively cast a <<Magic Dispersion Shield>>. If I can't then at least something that will boost your resistance to it......What?"
