In the glory days, Ronnie Radke was best friends with his band - and Ash Charles, a girl he had grown up with. He was always getting drunk and high, and she was his sidekick. However, when Ronnie goes to jail for the murder of an eighteen year old...
*im too lazy to update the lineup so we're keeping the original band and besides, screw historical accuracy amiright*
AN: trigger warning, sexual harassment and violence
"Warped Tour, motherfuckers!" Craig yelled. I grinned as Max looked around. "Damn. There's a lot of them." "It's Warped." I reminded him. "There's gonna be people." "True." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Y'all ready?" "Never." Omar said. "Me neither." "Neither am I! You're making me come onstage." I said. "You don't have to come onstage if you really don't want to." He kissed my cheek. "No, I'll come onstage." "Thank you." "Yeah." "We're onstage in three hours." Craig said. "Damn, maybe we should get ready." "Yeah." Robert replied. "I'll go get ready. It's gonna take a while." I laughed and kissed Max's nose. "M'kay." He grinned. I went to the band's trailer. On the couch was an outfit. It was one of Max's ETF shirts and a pair of black shorts. On top of it was a note.
Ash, Please wear this today? I got you the shorts cause it's hot as hell and I don't want you to overheat here. And then I wanted you to wear one of my shirts. You don't have to, but I'd love it if you did. Love, Max XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
I grinned. God, he was so cute. I quickly threw on the shorts and shirt and laughed. It was too big on me. I brushed my hair and applied makeup, and before I knew it, an hour had passed. There was a knock on the door. I opened it. "Yo." "Hi, Ash." "Hi, Biersack." He came inside. "What's up? Why're you on tour?" "This isn't a tour, Andy. Escape The Fate is only here for the Cali show." "But... You and Craig broke up." "And now I'm dating Max." "Nice, go back to your high school sweetheart." "Yeah." I laughed. "When're the fans gonna find out?" "Today. Onstage." "Bold, just like Max." "Yep." "You wanna grab a drink? There's a bar a couple minute walk away. There's gonna be fans, but..." "We can get a drink here." I went to the minibar. "This is the ETF trailer, anyways. We've got a lot of alcohol." "Dang." Andy said, looking. "There's a lot." "What do you want?" "A beer is fine." I tossed him a can and opened one myself. "When're you guys performing?" "Right after Ronnie's band. He's opening for us." "Oh right. Max told me. I completely forgot." "Nah, it's fine." He sipped his beer. "Lineups are hard to remember." "Yeah." "How've you been?" "Been clean from coke, for like, a while. I got in a car crash and they drug tested me and sent me to rehab. It was... A while ago. Ronnie was only a couple months into his sentence, if that." "Clean since then?" "Yeah." Andy nodded. "I'm proud of you." "Thank you." "Yeah, of course." He checked the time. "Oh shit, gotta run, soundcheck. Your band has it, too?" "Yep. I should probably go." "I'll talk to you later, Ash." "Bye, Andy." He left the trailer. I quickly pulled my hair into a ponytail and went to the stage where the guys were performing. "Hi, Ash!" Monte yelled, noticing me. "Hi, Monte." I replied, laughing. "Babe!" Max saw me and swept me up into a hug. "Hi, babe. You look so cute." I giggled. "Thanks." "And you're wearing my shirt! God, you're so adorable." "I know." He laughed and kissed my cheek. "I know you know." "Then you know she has to get off, we're getting ready." Craig said. "Ugh, I know." "I'll go back to the tent with Ronnie's band, it's okay." I replied. "Okay." Max gave me a quick kiss. I went over to the Falling In Reverse tent. There was Ronnie's band. "Hey, fuckers." I said. "Oh, it's your cute friend." Jacky laughed. "Stop flirting, she's taken." Ronnie replied. "Max Green. Got a beef, fight him." "I might." "You wish." I swiped a water bottle from Ronnie. "Where's your pants?" Poor Ryan asked, seriously confused. "I'm wearing shorts." "I can't see them." "They're under the giant shirt I'm wearing." I lifted up the edge of my shirt. "Oh." "Nice tat." Mika said. "Thanks." I replied. "What're you doing here?" Ronnie asked. "Craig's mad at me. Dunno why. I came here, ease off the tension." "Smart. Chill with us." "We're lame." Derek warned. "I know, but you're my last options." "Fair." "So, we gonna hang out?" ------ ------ ------ ------ The band finished performing Situations, and then Max stepped forward. "Hi, guys." He said. The crowd cheered. "So, uh, I got something I wanna show you." He walked over to the side of the stage and offered his hand to me. I accepted it and walked with him back to the middle of the stage. "I've known this girl for years. We were teenagers when we met. When I was seventeen, and she was sixteen, we started dating. Eventually, we broke up, due to commitments both of us had, but we remained friends. I'm so thankful to say that I have her back in my grasp, and I love her so goddamn much." He kissed me. "God, I love Ash so much." The crowd was cheering so loud. I grinned at them, and in the corner of my eye, I could see Craig trying to hide a scowl. After a couple minutes, I walked off stage to let them continue their set. God, Max was amazing. ------ ------ ------ ------
*flashback*
Fuck school. Honestly, fuck it. It never does anything for me, anyways. I hate junior year. "Hey, Ash!" A guy yelled. "Fuck off." I replied, walking down the hall to get to my locker. Before I knew what was happening, he had me pinned against the lockers. Thank God the school decided to put my locker in a hallway no one goes in, right? "Ash, come on, I heard you were easy. Heard you let that senior do you. What's his name? Max?" "Let go of me." I tried to free my wrists. He laughed. "Jesus, what's the matter?" "Get your fucking hands off of me." I grit my teeth. "I swear to God, Jackson." "Or what?" He pressed himself up against me. "Get. Off. Of. Me." Jackson slid his hands up my thighs, grabbing onto my ass. "Why?" "Stop. Fucking stop." "Why?" His lips touched the side of my neck. "God, you're so fucking beautiful." "Don't call me that." "But you are." "If you stop now, I won't tell anyone, I swear." "Ash, please just let me do this. You need this." His hand slipped down into my underwear. "Stop touching me!" I yelled. I tried to push him off, but he wouldn't move. I kneed him between the legs and slipped out of his grasp. I had always been so good at fighting, at defending myself, before now. I don't know what happened. I sprinted off to a secluded bathroom and caught my breath. I looked at myself in the mirror. My hair was messed up and my face was flushed. I splashed water on my face and walked out of the bathroom like nothing had happened. Slowly, I walked to the tree Max and I would sit under after school or when we're skipping. Sure enough, he was there. "Hi, Ash." He called brightly. "Hey." I sat next to him quietly. "What's the matter?" "Nothing, I..." "Babe, what's the matter?" "Jackson... He... He pushed me against a locker, and kissed my neck, and stuck his hand down my pants." "That fucking asshole." Max went to stand up. I tugged him down. "Don't. Don't. Please, Max." "But he-" "I know, but... It's fine. Don't do it." He sat back down and held me to his chest. "I love you, I'm always here for you." I nodded. "Th-Thank you." "Yeah, of course." Max kissed my hair. "I'll always defend you, no matter what."
