Everything was dark, but at the same time not that dark. did... did she die again? her head was laying up on something soft and she was wrapped in something warm. a blanket? being dead again might not be the answer. She could make out some voices. not what they said or where they came from, only that there was a conversation. slowly opening her eyes made she realize she was in a room. getting used to the dark and getting more awake made she realize it looked like a child room.
The bed was different than any bed she had seen before. the pillow and blanket had stars over them. there were some stars on the roof that glowed which was her only light source. a table next to her bed ware filled of figurines, a pirate flag hanged on the wall next to a closet, fluffy rectangle carpet on the ground, some posters that she didn't know who was on, a strange box on a desk and another box with the door filled of bones. sitting up and rubbing her eyes made her catch the sound of someone coming up a set of stairs. they stopped outside the door and slowly opened it a crack before fully opening it. the bright light hurting her eyes
"OH, YOU'RE FINALLY AWAKE!" looking over toward the door made her see her savior from before, Blue. His smile was bright and it didn't look like he was hurt from the battler he had. "oh, um, yes. If you don't mind me asking, where am I?" her voice was raspy and sore making her cringe. "YOUR IN MY HOUSE LADY. YOU HAD PASSED OUT WHEN WE GOT THROUGH THE PORTAL AND WE DECIDED HER WOULD BE THE SAFEST PLACE FOR YOU TO REST" he smiled proudly. looking at him made you notice he was identical to Nightmare and his brother. all the other skeletons was similar, but not identical. there was always something that made them different. it was shocking to look at him. thinking about it, the golden skeleton did look identical to Blue as well.
before her brain storm could continue, Blue seated himself on the bed next to her and extended his hand toward her. "PROPER INTRODUCTION" he said still beaming taking his hand and giving him a smile of her own before telling him her name. cringing at how raspy her voice was. "THE MAGNIFICENT SANS, BUT EVERYONE CALLS ME BLUEBERRY OR BLUE. PROUD MEMBER OF THE STAR SANSES WITH INK AND DREAM" She froze. looking shocked into his eye sockets. "Dre-Dream?" there had to be an misunderstanding. she couldn't be so lucky that he actually meant Dream, Nightmares brother, but his enthusiastic nodding told her she head right. Blue didn't seem to notice her shock and continued talking, but she couldn't focus. She could see Nightmare again...
Y/n was seated at the couch down in the living room where she was now sipping a glass of water for her sore throat and waiting for Dream and this Ink guy to come. Blue had went to get a hold of them to tell them you was awake, leaving her next to a half awake skeleton that she learned was named Papyrus or Stretch. He had started some small talk with her until his brother left. the small frown on his face shown how little he liked the thought of his brother being with Ink and Dream when he mentioned where he was going. Not much of a talker after that made him dose of leaving you to watch a picture box apparently called a 'T-V'
A sound brought her attention toward the kitchen. a portal open right before the kitchen entry making the human jump a little when someone came suddenly jumping out. it only got one open eye from the sleeping skeleton. First one was the paint brush skeleton, which meant his name was Ink. next was and excited Blue and last Dream. So that was the reason she felt she had seen him before. "I see Blue was right, you are awake! So what's your name lady?" Ink said with somewhat fake happiness. Even if his eyes shined in different colors, they looked empty, like something was missing. still, he and the two other skeletons gave off a safe and relaxing aura.
Quickly moving her focus over toward the golden skeleton after answering his question. He looked quiet older and scared, was this even the Dream she had seen playfully playing with the other kids in her class, or was this simply another skeleton with the same name? her eyes couldn't help but grow wider when she looked at him, HOPE filling her soul. "are... are you really... really Dream, the guard...guardian?" her voice was getting better, it had felt like she hadn't spoken in years, and that might be the case if this really was Dream. He stopped for a moment while eyes looked over her expression. "yeah, that's me. I see you have heard about me?"
Nodding finally confident that she could get answers "I saw you sometime play with...with the kids from my town or taking care of the tree" His eyes got bigger than dinner plates while he continued to stare. "imp-impossible!" was breathed from him. Ink and Blue looked just as surprised. "Well, I'm out" said Stretch before disappearing. Shaking his had Dream continued on "how? I'm certain no one from Dreamtale survived except me and my brother. how could anyone-" before he could continue a squeaky voice stopped him "what happens with your brother?" this could be it.
sadness filed his eyes. "you don't know?" he sounded so broken when he spoke. shaking her head "no...no I don't know what happened. I just remember falling from somewhere really high and then waking up in some... some sort of void?" Ink had crossed his arm and was leaning against a wall with his eyes closet. While Blue had began to tear up and was looking at the female human in his living room after he set the pieces together that she died, but Dream had the saddest expression of all. "If you really are from my AU, you deserve to know what happened... sit down. this... this might take a while"
