Calm before the storm

What to do, what to do, what to do!? Moonlight shines into the room where she laid curled up in the bed. the thousand of shining stars shined bright in to her, helping the moon light up more as the only light source on the chilly night. she couldn't sleep. if she managed it would just be for a few hours before she would be awake again. wondering and stressing over what she should do. she did not know who many times she had tried to start a conversation with either Ink, Blueberry or Dream just to either get cut off by one of the others or they thinking she was under some kind of spell. they would not believe her. no matter what she tried. it was both tiresome and stress full. Always stumbling over the words when they would doubt they was her own. whatever Nightmare used to do before she was brought back to life had to be bad if this was the 'good guys' reaction. witch left it harder to find a way to make them understand her situation. quiet hard to explain something to someone that looked like they thought she had been brainwashed.

It was nice to see some of the other alternate versions of her friends again. coming cheek up with her. even if she could never fully settle down or relax. Dream had promised to take time to talk with you today. trying to get the nerves to tell him about everything was hart. being way too close to tell him or some of the other before getting cut off or just losing the tiny bit of bravery she had. being a bit scared on what the outcome may be. what would everyone think. would Dream be mad at her, would Ink not want her around her anymore, would Blue look at her wit a broken and disappointing look? It was stupid. She shouldn't be ashamed for her love toward Nightmare. a strangled cough got caught in her throat. Love. oh god she had really fell hard for that idiot.

the door creaked open and Dream stepped inn. "Hey there sunshine! feeling any better today?" his mild, relaxing and friendly aura shooting her. she wanted to talk about it to him the most. Ink would probably not understand her dilemma and Blue would probably overdrive. Dream was Nightmares brother. he may understand their situation better. their form the same AU. "I'm good. However, there's something I feel that I really have the need to discuss with you..." she had a small smile on her face. hope filling in her chest that she could resolve this and stop whatever this was leading to. not wanting to see either of the parties hurt in what was about to come. it was crawling up her back. the knowing thought that something really bad would happen soon

"Go on" Dream said with a smile, sitting down on the edge of the bed. The girl thought a deep breath. trying her best to ready herself for a final time. "Dream, remember back in out AU?" she slowly began. "Yeah, I thought it was so peaceful. I would usually just run around and play with the other kids our help out where I could" he had a small smile on his face, thinking back at his oldest memories. "Do you remember much what Nightmare did?" dream brows knitted together as he thought. "He read, a lot" he began. "I never saw him with anyone else, which could have been my first clue to do something. at one time he would head into the wood to read all alone. I was about to talk with him and see if there was something bothering him that day when he came back. but when I met him again, he had been most happy I had seen him in a long. time." Dream let out a sigh and med her gaze. "He continue to have such a positive aura getting back form the woods that I never opted to ask him. Then one day all the happiness was suddenly taken from him. e became a shell of his former self and would not talk to me. then one day the sky suddenly became dark and when I reach the three there were no golden apples left."

She lightly bit her cheek. "I met nightmare back in Dreamtale..." she softly began. Dream eyes light up in surprise. his body fully turning toward her. "You did?" she hesitantly nodded. "In the woods, next to the tree of feelings..." He thought for a while, putting the puzzle pieces together. "Oh, you must have meet him when he was reading in the woods then. how was he? I never actually saw him interact with others when I think about it..." Hope rising in her chest. "he was nice, good company to talk to" a real relaxed smile formed on her face. the tension that this conversation may leave to something bad forgotten. "What I'm trying to say is-" "Who was he? Did you meet him more than once?" Dream cut her off. She tried to start the conversation again but he would just talk over you. swimming delighted and curious that you had talked to his brother. probably the only one except him that had talked to Nightmare.

"Dream, for of the love of whatever insane creator that's out there, please listen to me!" she felt frustrated that he would not listen to her. before she could continue, Blue ran into the room in a panic. "DREAM, WE NEED YOUR HELP! NIGHTMARE HAD MADE A MOVE AND IS ATTACKING!" both was stunned for a moment before the words hit Dream. "Wh...what. alright I'm coming to help." Blue ran out of the room and Dream turned toward her. looking her in the eyes. "Stay safe." a quick kiss on the top of her head as he ran after Blue. Her mind was raising thousand miles per hour. kicking herself for not getting anything done in time. tears threatening to spill as she quickly passed around the room. something caught her in the corner of her eyes. slowly walking toward her door and lowly opening it fully. they had forgot to close the portal. without even thinking twice to what this could lead to before she jumped in. she had to finally do something.

Slowly building up to the end here everybody. lets hope no one's gets hurt, but I can't promise anything~
