"He's still gone?" Cross rose one eyebrow at the somber looking girl. Her head was folded in front of her on the table with her head placed in them. Looking longingly over toward a black rose who were slowly losing it's life. It's form failing over to one side in the vase it was placed in to keep it's life longer. The girl sadly shook her head. Nightmare had been gone for awhile without giving any clue or telling anyone where he was going. It troubled her after what happened the night he left. A gut feeling was telling here it wasn't going to be a good outcome to this.
Cross pulled out a chair and sat down. "Did something happen? Nightmare usually doesn't disappear without a reason..." He poked the rose lightly and two petals fell down. She bit the inside of her cheek. chewing lightly on it while thinking through if she should tell him about the ... accident, that happen. He should know the reason that may be the cause of his boss disappearance. Sighing she started to speak. "There was a small misunderstanding that happened last time I met Dream. I believe it won't end well if he still held a grudge toward his brother" she didn't want to go into full detail about the happening, but it would be good if they knew in case something did happen.
He huff down in his coffee cup. "Sounds like Nightmare. Don't worry, He have done this more than once when he was overly stressed. He will probably be back in a few days." She couldn't calm down. Even at the other skeleton words. Guessing that the only thing she could do right now was to wait, and hope for the best. Pondering if that was what Nightmare had become after Dreamtale. He was so different, so hollow, so ... depressed. If his mind got back to what it used to be Dream wouldn't be shown any mercy. She let out a sigh before leaving Cross to his coffee and leaving to find something to occupy her worrying mind.
The gardens seemed to act like a magnet for her as she nearly always found herself out in it. It was either the garden or library. It was always cast in shadow. However, it was somehow calming. Not like the fear of what hid in it like walking through the gates in the dead of the night. wondering what was lurking around ready to strike at their prey. She sighed while looking over the rose bush. Wondering what was on Nightmares Mind when he left. wondering if she could do something to stop his anger. The other said that it was always fights between the two sides. But, this close next to each other? Could she manage to see anyone she cared about hurt?
Dream was her friend. It was always pleasant when he came over and stayed with here in the lonely place they gave her. The positive skeleton always brought an calming and happy aura with him wherever he was. Not still getting why he thought it was a good idea to kiss her in the end. She could gloss over the confession of him wanting to get it off his chest even after seeing her relationship with Nightmare. Did the two of them look more like really close friends then mates? Did Dream just misread the situation and get himself really hurt? She felt guilty in all this. If anything happened it would have been her fault, right? She could have been more open with her and Nightmare's relationship. Or maybe she could have stopped Dream before the kiss. Maybe she could...
She quickly shook her head. there was no time to ponder if what she could have done differently. Right now she had to live in the moment and focus about what's in front of here. Nightmare needed here. It was clear he wasn't in the best state of mind. Who knows what was going on up in his head at this moment.
All she could do was wait an show Nightmare she was there for him. She had not personally seen the terror he had done and what he was fully capable of. He was damaged, so she could only try to hold him together. Now she just hoped she could see him, and that he would come back home safe.
