She felt nervous. really, really nervous. she could lose everything she had ever cared about at any moment. it was frightening. her mind raising thought possible ways to explain what had been going on the past month, on how she knew Nightmare, the friendship they had back when they were young. she was already feeling quiet guilt over how she left everyone here. she would never knew they would worry to much about her. explaining to them that she would be living with Nightmare was supposed to happen a long time ago. everything just went so fast by that it had slipped her mind. even if she hated to admit it. Not even knowing if either sides of the party would listen or negotiate at this moment. but she had to try. not knowing if she could bear the burden of one of her friends being hurt because of her.

the sound of the door creaking open brought her attention away from the window to see who just came in. "I'm sorry for just barging in. I would just like to see who you are doing" Dream came through the door. the mild smile on his face quickly disappearing noticing her worry expression. "what's wrong?" he went over and lightly put his hand on her shoulder. sitting down at the windowsill next to her. She was quick to put on a smile. "Its nothing. just dwelling on some thoughts," her smile seemed to be convincing enough for Dream to not press on the mater, even if his eyes still held some worry inside them. "Have you settled in well? we tried our best to make this place more cozy than your last one." her eyes glanced over the room. it was bigger than her last place. a mountain of pillow and blanket laying on the bed. a small wooden table with three chair around and an open door to a small kitchen. on the opposite side of the kitchen was a bathroom door and a big soft carpet on the floor to keep the floors warm.

"It's nice..." her voice came out smaller than either of them would have liked to hear. the room was piled with silent for a while. neither of them daring to speak. "Did they hurt you?" Dream asked as he took a hold of her hand and slowly looked over it. to look and see if he could see any type of indication that she had been hurt. "n...no! I wasn't hurt" she quickly defended. his eyes grew more worried. "Then who did you the this?" his hand were lightly placed on the side of her throat. thumb slowly and carefully running over the thin scar Dust had given her when she arrived. she was shocked that it had not disappear yet and her words quickly dried up as her mind rummaged for an explanation.

Dream sighed and placed his hand on her back. he could feel her distress and panic. beginning to wonder if they never did anything physical to her and maybe only mental. or if the greater damage was hidden under her clothes. the thought of her just being lest down in the castle dungeon, occasionally being frightened by his brother and his goons left a sour taste in his mouth. His hand running soothing circles on her back and trying to calm her down. not wanting her in any distress. He would really have liked to know why Nightmare wanted her in particular. he had taken hostages before, but never went to this kind of length getting them. not to mention she had been slowly wandering the halls when they spotted her. Cross was still in the castle. she seems distressed when they finally spotted her. who knew who scared she must have been sneaking around without being found.

"They never hurt me... they-" he hushed her as she spoke. wanting her to fully relax. "Don't worry. you don't have to explain yourself" his words was oft and careful. "but-" "no buts" he cut her off again and could feel frustration building inside her. he place both of his hands on her shoulders, turning her toward him and looking to her eyes. a smile formed on his face. "Just relax, everything will be fine. A smile fit you much better than that frown. so can you show me one?" she looked back into his eyes for a bit before she closed her eyes, took a deep breath then meet his eyes again with a small genuine smile. "Much better!" she really hoped Dream was right that everything will be firm in the end.

"Dream there's something important I need to tell you. it's-" the door opened and Ink came in to the room. "hey Dream, can i borrow you for a while? it's important" Dream nodded at his friend and quickly got on his feet. "I'm sorry, but it has to wait. I will see if I have time to come in her later and continue this conversation." he gave her a bright smile before walking out the door. living her alone. she moved from the windowsill and onto the nest of a bed. rally feeling like a bird in a nest or a fox in it small cave inside all the fluffy blankets. praying to whatever out there in control that things will be okay.
