Nightmares had gone still. Like he was frozen in time. Everything had just stopped. He had just simply open a portal as he promised. Fifteen minutes. Not a second to son, nor a second to late. The sight he saw was some of the most gruesome he had ever seen. And he was the king of nightmares. He could feel the marrow in his bones turn cold as all he could manage was look at what was happening in front of him.

Y/n. His love, his mate. The only positive thing the world had decided to give him. The ray of light in his darkness. His first true friend. Had his dirty brother lips pressed against her soft angelic once. And she did nothing. Just looking at the scum in shock as the scum lived in bliss. The kiss may have been short. But it dragged on for an unholy long time in his slow down world at the moment. She didn't lean away, nor try and push his broth away. Did she even know how wrong this was? He knew she still held a bit of her child naivety and innocence. But she had also blossomed and matured fast in the short time she needed to sine raising from the dead.

He could feel the rotting negativity in his core grow. The last time he had felt a strong negative connection like this was back when she got taken away, once form her brother and once from those wretched spawns. The negativity only got more intense as it got similar to the times he destroyed the three. He couldn't keep still anymore. He couldn't live in this sickening slow world. He had to break it. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!" He snarled. Startling both his so called brother and girlfriend. "bro... brother I-" "don't you dare associate me with you!" Nightmare bites back. Making his posture look bigger and more intimidating as the tentacles on his back swung slowly. Like snakes getting ready to strike.

He could barely think, see or hear. Everything was just such a fuzzy blur. "Nightmare, please calm down. This is-" she tried to get up. However, the firm hand of Dream stopped her in her tracks as she looked pleadingly back at him. Nightmares intense stare only sharpens as he felt the negativity in him nearly toppled over the edge. "Give. Me. Her. Now." He said in a icy cold voice. He used to use that one often back when he first started destroying worlds. When he hadn't got his negativity in control. However, That control seems to disappear the longer she stood over on his 'brothers' side. Dream hesitated as his eyes drifting from the pleading girl toward his raging brother. Not knowing what the safest option was. His hand tightening on her shoulder.

Nightmares eyes twitched as he grind his teeth together."I said" he began. Taking a threateningly step forward, making dream take a step backward. "give her back!" Nightmare leaped forward and tackled his brother to the floor. Dream couture back with kicking him in the ribs so he could get his brother off him. Quickly getting on his feet. "Nightmare, let me exspl-" dream couldn't finish as on of nightmares tentacles came swinging toward him like a sledgehammer. He dogged to the wrong side and he slipped. Falling down into the water below.

Quickly turning so he wouldn't lay underwater and getting up to stand. Bones didn't float and he was thankful that the water reached up to his waist. It would be hard to move about in the water and about of them knew that. Nightmares tentacles reached up and was ready to strike after getting the high ground. Dream closed his eyes and quickly got his hand placed in a cross before him. Sliding himself for what to come. When that said pain never came, he slowly lowered his hands and opened his eyes.

Nightmare was still standing ready to strike. He looked frozen, like someone had paused him. Glancing down, dream could see who. Said person held into Nightmare like he would crumple where he stood. That she would somehow be stronger than the large skeleton. Arms securely placed around him, and body pulled close to his back. Her face being pressed in the corner of his neck as silent peas was sputtered out of her.

"Pleas, Nightmare. Just stop. Your better than this. It was all a big misunderstanding. Please just let us go home. You don't have to hurt him." Was said over and over. Like a broken record that was just getting lower and lower. Nightmare continued to stare at his brother. Neither skeleton breaking eye contact as Dream breathed heavy of the adrenaline he was feeling. All his senses was alert if his brother would attack, while still being afraid to move if it triggered something in his brother.

The only sound for the longest time was the rushing water and the silent pleading from the girl. Nightmare tentacle shook before falling to the ground as he turns around to return the hug. The world stood still for some heartbeats as his nerves calmed down. "let's go home." Nightmare whisper but before he left he gave a sharp glare toward his brother. "we will continue this elsewhere." He growled. "lets just hope i don't see you two together alone again." Glared at dream as he opens a portal and jumped in after the girl. Leaving his brother alone with the echo flower repeating the past confrontation.

"lets just hope i don't see you two together alone again." One whispered as he got out of the pool of water. Making him look over at it with sorrow and regret.
