'this is a lot to take inn..' Y/n thought to herself. Nightmares passed out body was laid down on the forest floor, head in her lap. her head slowly stroking his skull while he slept away. His previous mental breakdown completely tiring him out. She was a little glad he had passed out so she could process every bit of information. It was quite a lot of conflicted thoughts she had on her mind right now. Dream was right with Nightmare destroying this place, but now she knew the reason to this disaster. and she couldn't help but to feel guilty. if she had been more cautious and noticed that she was being followed, if she had hidden a place until they got bored and let her be. if she had just froze up and not gone to stop that stupid fight, is she just wasn't that dumb and went so close to the cliff!

Quickly she shook her head to clear her head and get rid of their tears that was forming in the corner of her eyes. worst of all, her best friend had become a murderer. who many places had he destroyed and who many people had he killed? by the sound of it it seemed like he had lost count. The thought of her quiet and scared friend killing someone was the last thing she had thought off. if someone had told her when she was younger that her best and only friend was to become a murderer and destroy everything she knew she would have laughed.

A difficult decision was thrown up on her now. where would she stay? Dream, Ink and Blueberry was apparently the 'good guys' for a really good reason. Nightmare said it himself, darkness and negativity had controlled him. what she saw in that forest that day she was brought back to life was a good indicator that the skeleton Nightmare hung around with was just trouble. 'but you still seek him out?' her thought reasons 'after everything you were told, you still vent out to find him'. guilt was thrown over her when she remember who she got here. she really had to apologize to Blue the next time she saw him... if there ever was one. but why should she stay here. Nightmares gang, friends or wherever they are will probably kill her the first chance they got. if she left, would Nightmare be angry, would he send them out to kill her instead of bringing her safe to him?

Would Dream and Ink even go looking for her? would they even care that she was gone, probably dead somewhere. they couldn't just give up on her. they were the only other friends she had beside Nightmare. they took care of her, and protected her. So many new friends. they gave her a home, a safe space. so may cared for her, they didn't ridicule her for any reason. they were so friendly and nice. she could always find herself smiling when she were spending time with one of them.

Looking down on Nightmares sleeping face made the previous thought disappeared. this was Nightmare. Her first and best friend. The one that pulled her out of the dark and made her life brighter. the first person to ever actually cared for her. the one to listen to her rant for hours and became a shoulder to cry one. a friend to just sit together and read binged happiness. the highlight of her normal everyday life. her hand and carefully over his face. sometimes coming over cracks that leaked the black goo that covered his body but surprisingly didn't stain. his face was still really familiar to their younger days. wondering if he actually got to reading the last book she recommended or if he didn't read anymore. her face fluster and hand quickly retreating when he began to wake up.

His single eye looking groggily up at her in confusion until he came to his senses and realized what happen before he fell asleep. "Morning sleepy head" Y/n tried to break the silence and hide her flustered face. oh, morning. uh, sorry about that" Nightmare was quick up in a sitting position. a turquoise color she well knew was a blush spread over his cheekbones, only darkening by her laughter. "It's fine" she answer cheerfully but quickly changed moods "Um... Nightmare?". her mind had cleared and she had made up an proper answer of where she would go next. "I would like to stay here with you, if that works for you"
