Pantherstar had never been afraid of the dark.
Since she blended into it, she greeted it like... a friend, you could say.
She never thought it was going to be her final resting place.
As the she-cat padded along in the shadows, she closed her eyes and almost felt all her fallen clanmates. I miss you, Tigerblaze. You were a great deputy, even though you didn't get to be it for long. Shaking her head sadly, Pantherstar continued walking, eventually laying down in the shadow of a cherry blossom tree.
Shadowstar loved these, she thought, blinking at the memory.

"Pantherstar," a voice called softly as a cat padded into the light. "I have a message."
"Really?" the leader asked curiously, cocking her head to the side. "From who? Why can't they just come and tell me?"
"Because they're dead."
"Sorry?"
"I didn't say anything. Also, I heard you had an allergic reaction recently. "
"Who told you that?"
"Can't remember. But, um, I was told these help." The cat slipped two round berries towards Pantherstar. The color was lost to the darkness, and all the leader was able to rely on to find their identity were taste and smell.
She sniffed them, and being novice at herb smells, decided they were okay. Licking them up, she marveled at how they were still intact from the trip from the medicine cat den. They couldn't have been picked near her, because they only "herbs" that grew here were-
"Are they good?"
"What are they?"
"..."
"Please? I want to know for future reference."
"What future?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Nothing..."
"Anyway, could you just tell me?"
"Sure." the mystery cat flicked dirt off their tail.
"Deathberries."
"What?!"
PANTHERSTAR was killed. She's the leader. Obviously. Also, oof, killed two nights in a row T^T that must suck
