The light from the moon was all the killer had to see.
As they trampled through the darkness, trying to find the lucky one chosen to be murdered, they sourly cursed the moon. However, Cat Uno were happy when their victim came into view. Slipping up next to them, the killer purred, "What're-"
"Save it." Cat Dos got up and stalked closer to the camp wall. Their tail brushing against it, the cat hissed, "Make one move and you're out. I'm not afraid to yowl."
"You wouldn't..."
"Oh, but I would. Watch me." Opening their jaws, Cat Dos took a breath, only to be stopped by a paw.
"Now, now, let's not jump to conclusions," Cat Uno mewed hastily, awkwardly stepping back.
"Why? Why would you possibly be out here other than to kill me?!" The warrior snapped, ruffling their fur in distress. "How's this; I don't yowl and get you exiled or maybe killed, and you leave me alone."
"No." The killer, their pride throbbing, straightened and took a menacing step forward that didn't affect Cat Dos. "I'll kill you right here, right now. It'll be so quick you won't know what hit you. Or, in this case, killed you."
"I'm good, thanks." Cat Dos started to yowl, but was cut off by a cut to their flank.
"Stop!" hissing, Cat Uno ran off, snarling, "We'll get you, mousebrain! Just you wait! And if you tell anyone, my fellow supporters won't hesitate to kill you!"
"Is everything okay here?" the concerned face of Fawnwish turned the corner. Wildstorm's popped out from behind.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah, I just almost got killed."
A growl escaped one of the new warriors' throat, but it was so quick Cat Dos couldn't tell who.
"Could you tell who it was?"
"Yes, it was-" The warrior paused. They didn't want to get killed. May as well keep their mouth shut. For now. "No. No, I don't know who it was."
"Hmm. Oh well."
