Field Trip

A very classic Peter Parker and Tony Stark one shot~~

Peter was dreading the field trip tomorrow, he normally really enjoyed field trips but last years wasn't exactly ideal and this one was going to be even worse. Well, last years wasn't a total bust, it had caused him to become crazy sick as if he felt like he was going to die but he ended up with really cool spider powers and became Spider-Man so it wasn't a total bust but this year he was going to Stark Industries. He was going to the Avengers Compound. Where he lives.

Peter had been adopted by Tony and Pepper when he was five and has been with them ever since. He was home schooled for the first few years of his schooling but then joined his classmates during the fourth grade. He's now sixteen and instead of loving school as he used to when he was younger, he doesn't. Most students hate school because of the learning..The mornings and the never ending homework that they get but Peter doesn't care about that. What he doesn't like is the ongoing torture Flash somehow makes possible for him every single day without fail.

It goes between taunting to physical pain that Flash makes Peter endure and it was getting harder and harder to hide from Tony- his dad every time. How was he supposed to explain the bruises? The black eye? The tears? You can only fall down the stairs so many times...

"Peter, Miss Potts would like me to inform you that dinner is ready." FRIDAY announced.

"Yeah, tell her I'll be right down Fri." Peter said as he stood up and sighed, making his way downstairs into the kitchen.

Pepper had made Pizza, covered in pepperoni and cheese just like Peter liked it. Peter smiled softly as he made his way to his mother, sitting down across from her at the table. He took a piece of pizza taking a bite of it, the cheese stringing slightly as he ripped it off, swallowing it.
"Guess dad isn't coming for dinner tonight then?" Peter said, looking at his mother.
Pepper sighed, "I don't think so."

Pepper had been getting annoyed at Tony recently, he had been in the labs for days straight only coming out to go to the bathroom, not even getting food. He was living on coffee which he had been making with the small coffee maker just outside of his lab as he was on the verge of a breakthrough and needed piece and quiet. What annoyed Pepper most was that Tony hadn't talked to Peter in a few days and she knew that they had been and still were quite close. She loved it when she seen Peter and Tony sitting beside each other having movie marathons or working together in the labs on each others suits.

They continued to eat in silence just the two of them before Pepper spoke up,
"So Peter, what was the field trip slip for?" Pepper asked.
Peter internally groaned, wishing that his mother hadn't found it so that he wouldn't have to go, "Uh nothing important."
"Come on Peter, it says end of year trip, that's got to be important." Pepper responded as she clasped her hands together looking at her curly haired son.
"It's really not." He said putting emphasis on 'really'.
"Well you're still going." She said with a chuckle.
This time, Peter groaned outwardly as Pepper laughed at him, "I've already signed it," Pepper said then pointed a finger at him, "You better hand it in."

She then stood up, taking her plate with her as Peter took his, putting them both in the sink as Pepper began to fill the sink up with water to clean the dishes as Peter got the towel, they began to wash and dry the dishes together talking with each other, catching up on what they had done the past few days and then Peter went off to his room, doing his homework then going to bed.

The next day came too soon for Peter.

He was on the bus, on his way to his home yet again, Flash taunting him more than usual and Ned jumping excitedly beside him. All Peter wanted to do right at that moment was to curl up and die right on the spot.

"Dude you've literally been here before, why are you so excited?" Peter asked, genuinely confused and slightly irritated at his friends eagerness to reach the compound.

"Because I haven't seen most of it." Ned replied still moving around impatiently in his seat, Peter simply shrugged his shoulders in reply as he turned his gaze out of the window watching all of the building go by in flashes.

The sight of the compound came too fast in Peter's opinion, groaning slightly at the sight of his home.
"What's wrong Penis, not ready to be exposed?" Flash said in a taunting tone, the tone that made Peter feel sick to the stomach yet he ignored the statement Flash made as he continued to dread the trip.

The bus stopped abruptly, making a few kids fall forward slightly, shaking them out of their daydreams as they drooled over the sight of the highly manufactured and modern building. They all quickly got off of the bus and onto the pavement, Peter trailing behind along side MJ who was too busy indulged in reading to gawk over the compound, not that she would anyway.

They all made their way inside, meeting their tour guide, Katrina. Peter had already met her before, she had been an intern at the compound for about four months. She was nice, kind of energetic but was always enthusiastic and ready to do work, it made her stand out.

Katrina began to hand out the badges, stopping at Peter abruptly although no one realized,
"I suppose you have your badge?" She said in a small voice which made Peter grateful so that no one could hear their conversation.
"Yeah." He responded as she nodded with a smile and began to hand out some more badges.

One she had finished, she stood at the front of the group before shouting over them to get their attentions, "Right guys!" She called out in a cheery voice, "Anyone have any questions before we begin with the tour?"
Most of the people that would have had questions didn't ask, mostly because they were to eager to get started with the tour so they stayed quiet, but as Peter thought that at least no one asked about his internship, his ParkerLuck striked again.

Flash raised his hand, "Yes?" Karina asked, pointing to Flash.
"Do you accept internship applicants from people in high school?" Flash asked smugly.
"No, I don't believe that Mr. Stark does." Karina replied as Flash looked over at Peter and smirked.

They all started to go into the main part of the building as they began to scan their badges, Peter trailed behind along with MJ, Flash as well, as he wanted to taunt Peter a little.
"Told you Penis, your lies will come back to bite you on the ass." Flash taunted as they walked through.
It came to Peter's turn to scan his badge as he did so, FRIDAY greeted him.
"Hello Peter, welcome back would you like me to inform Mr. Stark of your arr-"
"No thanks FRI." Peter called out urgently as he began to walk along side his classmates, not meeting their confused and shocked glances at him.

Once they had all made it through, Peter could feel Flash's gaze burning through him as they continued to advance through the first are of the compound. Peter didn't pay much attention to what the tour guide was saying as he had already seen this area a hundred times before so he just looked down at his shoes, thinking about what new ways he could improve his web formula.

He heard someone come up beside him, their feet stomping against the ground viciously, "You know Penis, I don't know how you managed to hack into Stark's computer to make it say that stuff but you'll still get caught up for your lies." Flash taunted in a low tone venom lacing every word as if he was infected.

"Whatever Flash." Was Peter's reply as he continued to follow his classmates along to the lab area. MJ and Ned has now resides beside Peter as they made their way along to the main inter lab areas.
