Peter was ready for today, it was only his second week interning and yet he already loved it there. He had been surprised that they had accepted a teenage intern especially considering he hadn't exactly applied, the school had applied for him. He thought that was weird but apparently they had applied a few students, only Peter getting in of course. He did find it slightly strange the fact that he hadn't known about it until he was accepted and the school had done it without his permission but he loved everything to do with science so he decided it was better to go anyway. He was glad he did, he loved it.

He walked quickly into the building, a bounce in his step as he smiled brightly at all of the workers that he recognised. Even though he had only been here for a week everyone knew Peter, not only because he was a kid and the only kid allowed in the building but because of how insanely smart he was as well as kind.

Even Pepper had taken notice of this, although she never approached the young boy she had observed him from afar. Seen him solve problems that the other interns had been stuck for days on in a matter of about a minute. Although Tony had said that he hadn't even spared the kid a glance, he knew he was more intrigued about the boy than he cared to admit. Now, he was going to see how this kid really was.

When Peter reaches the floor filled with interns that he had got to know he instantly started greeting them. Giving them a small wave and a smile. Receiving many "Hello Peter!" And "Hey Kid!" greetings back.

To think that this was just going to be a normal day for Peter, he was clearly not aware of what was going to happen. When he did, he had to admit he wasn't exactly flattered.

He had been treated like every other intern up until he got to his area, some of his work was gone and some of the chemicals were missing, more specifically, the more dangerous ones. Peter tried to think nothing of it as he put his backpack down and made his way over to his desk where the computer lay. At least he still had the computer, Peter thought trying to look on the bright side, and he had been perfectly fine with that apart from what happened next.

Trying to click on his files that he had been working on earlier on were locked, like he didn't even work on them or create them in the first place. As Peter began to click on the files again it came up with a notification saying 'you are not authorised to open these files'. He clenched his fists as he went into investigate further.

Nothing happened for a while before a whole new area popped up on the screen titles in big bold letters, 'teenage intern protocol' then a space underneath and 'activated' in green writing. It turned out with the new protocol activated he only had access to 17% of the files that normal interns had access to and if he was being honest, it made home slightly annoyed but the worse thing about it was that the new stupid protocol was blocking him from accessing all of his work.

Without thinking of the consequences Peter quickly broke down the firewall and changed the permissions, he laughed internally at how he had managed to do it in barely five minutes considering this was Stark Industries. After changing the protocols so that he could access his own files, he quickly exited the permissions log and went into his own work, indulged in it completely.

"Mr Parker."

Peter tensed up as he turned around to see Tony Stark in the flesh standing there looking at him, but he knew why he was here and his face paled in realisation.

"Come with me please."

To say that Peter was scared was an understatement, he had just broken down and changed the protocol that had been put on his laptop by Mr Stark himself and was caught. What should've he expected though? For him just to get away with it?!

When they reached Mr Stark's office, Peter's heart was beating so loud that he was sure that no matter if you had super hearing or not, you could hear it. He hesitantly followed after Mr Stark into the clean, modern office and reluctantly sat down on the cool, black leather chair at the opposite side from Stark's, drumming his fingers against the cool metal of the handles.

"So Mr Parker, I thought that bringing an intelligent teenager like yourself would benefit my company but obviously we've come to a misunderstanding." Mr Stark said, staring into Peter's eyes showing no emotion as he leaned his arms forward onto the desk.

Peter just nodded and ripped his gaze away and to the floor, gulping.

"I did find it fascinating how fast you were able to hack down my firewalls." Mr Stark commented as Peter hesitantly looked up again.

"I'm truly sorry abo-" Peter tried to say but was cut off.

"Ah-ah! I'm not finished yet." Mr Stark said, leaning backwards a little, not breaking eye contact with the teenager's brown doe eyes, "Took down in a matter of five minutes twenty six seconds." Tony noted as Peter's face looked guilty.

"How? How did you manage it?" Tony said looking at the boy intensely, begging him silently for answers, "A company worth billions and a teenager managed to hack it in just over five minutes, how?"

"I-I." Peter's face showed all of his emotions, guilt, scared and anxious.

"Well what was it? Have you tried hacking before, is it an expertise of yours?" Tony questioned as Peter looked at the ground again, wringing his fingers which Tony guessed was a habit of his when he was feeling nervous, "Or is it all that practice you get while web slinging?"

Peter's blood ran cold as he went stiff, his head bolting up to look at Mr Stark with wide eyes.
"Ah so it is the web slinging." Tony commented, trying to hide the smile that was etching it's way onto his face,

"H-How did you?" Peter tried to say but was stop caught up in shock that he just couldn't seem to put together a proper sentence.

"Had to do a background check, might I say, took me a while to find out, only found out yesterday but it still surprised me to be honest." Tony said, a neutral look still on his face as he stared into the boys eyes amusingly.

When Peter didn't reply back, Tony leaned forward again, looking straight into the boy's eyes, a serious glint in his own, "Who knows?"

"No one." Peter said, his face as pale as a ghost as he looked anywhere but at Mr Stark.

"A little dangerous don't you think? You got out into the streets every night and your aunt doesn't even know." Tony said still looking at the boy as the boy looked over at the far wall.

"Don't tell her." Peter said sternly which took Tony by surprise, but yet again this wasn't the only thing that had surprised him about the kid. How could this one kid who looked as innocent as innocent could get hold so much power and save so many people? He knew how scarring the job was and from Peter's records and the thorough background check that Tony had done on the boy he knew the boy had experienced a lot of pain and loss.

"Wouldn't dream of it, on one condition though." Tony said a small smirk playing on his lips again.

"What?" Peter asked.

"I need you to do something for me." Tony said in a serious yet amusing voice.

"And what would that be?"

"Well..." Tony paused for a second hoping to cause some sort of dramatic effect, "Ever been to Germany?"
