Peter was nervous, the sweat continued to bead up at his hairline, as it rolled down the side of his forehead, his brown curls daring to stick to the surface. He continued to play with the hem of his tailored suit that they the tailor had specifically made for this event, the black material gently gliding around him as the white shirt stuck to his back. He began to rub his hands together pathetically as he switched his weight from one foot to the other, looking down at his polished shoes as his hands continued to rub off of each other in a nervous attempt to calm himself down. He was shaking slightly, his breath uneven as he heard his father go out to the stage as the audience fell silent out of their chatter, that certainly didn't help.

The nerves piled in his stomach as he looked around, his dark chocolate, big, doe eyes darting around the room frantically as he continued to try and clam his nerves. He had never been so nervous in his life, he was about to come out to the world as the one and only Peter Stark, Tony Stark's sixteen year old son and the future heir to a Stark Industries. Despite Peter's nervousness he had been fully for announcing his actual name, not wanting to hide under the name of Peter Parker, the puny little geek from Queens. It wasn't exactly as if he had to worry about all the fake friends either, he ahead already found his small group of friends that he needed, Ned and MJ. Who needed anyone else anyway? Especially if they were after the fame and the money.

He began to remember the stories that Tony would tell him at night, hugging him before tucking him into his small little race car bed when he was only a small child, the way that Tony would smile at him proudly, without him doing anything. It wasn't exactly if he ever did stop looking at Peter without admiration.

Tony remembered clearly the day he found a small little brown picnic stilled basket, a small note written there with her neat yet scribbled and frantic handwriting on the small napkin of the small little vintage corner café that they went on their first date on. Mary Parker was one of the only people that Tony had went on more than one date on with, but barely made it past the third. He had liked Mary but he was always busy, he remembered the day that he told her to leave and to come back later because he was dealing with problems with the company and she did, she did leave, without another word said between the two and never came back. Tony had never regretted anything more in his life, not because he and loved Mary, no, that was bearable, what wasn't was the crushing weight that went into his chest as he realised that his neglect to pay attention to her was the reason Peter grew up without a mother.

Tony remember peeking into the basket, coming face to face with a small child, barely months old, his brown hair starting to grow in and looking at Tony with big, brown doe eyes. As soon as he seen Tony he laughed and Tony couldn't help but smile. He could see himself in the young boy laying in front of him and without another moment of hesitation or thought, he ran inside, the picnic basket inside with the laughing and gurgling baby comfortably laying in there,

Peter continued to pace around slightly, his newly polished shoes hitting against the floor as he waited for his cue to come out, nervously biting the nail on the thumb of his left hand as he held the elbow with his other hand. He felt a small hand to around his bicep and looked over to see Pepper standing there, her hair straight and business attire on. He smiled genuinely as he looked at her as she held a small comforting smile on her face, he relaxed drastically, as his stepmother put her hands around his waist, drawing him into a hug, him retaliating almost instantly.

He held her closer as he lifted her up slightly, catching her by guard. She gently walked his shoulder with one of her arms, "You need to stop that, I'm not used to you being able to do that!" Pepper mocked with a smile of her own.

Peter just laughed in return as he set her down, he felt someone touch his shoulder lightly as he whirred around to face them. He was greeted by a small girl in her early twenties, dressed in full black with a small microphone on the side of her face, an iPad in her hands, "That's your cue." She said as she jerked her head band in the way of the stage.

Peter just nodded gently, his nerves creeping up on him. Pepper rested a hand on his shoulder reassuringly, "You'll be fine, trust me."
Peter drew out a breath that he had been go,ding as he look3d over his shoulder at her, "Thanks mom."

"No problem, not get out there!" She demanded quietly with a soft giggle as she pushed him forward and closer to the edge of the stage giving him a small thumbs up as he took a deep breath and entered through the curtains.

The whole audience went quiet as a young teenager walked out on stage, his brown, curly hair bouncing up and down slightly as he walked, his suit was modern and fashionable and was clearly expensive. The smile on his face, showing off his perfectly white and straight teeth in a large smile as he walked over to his father.

The reporters burst out into questions as the boy looked around frantically, "WHATS YOUR NAME?"

The boy rubbed his hands together quickly, trying his best to avoid making eye contact with the large bright lights that continued to flash across the room. He leaned forwards towards the microphone before taking another deep breath and saying, "Peter. Peter Stark."

The reporters had another outbreak at this, small gasps loud as he looked around the room, trying to calm his heightened senses. "HOW OLD ARE YOU?" A reporter asked,

"Sixteen." He answered simply as he leaned back again.

The reporters burst out into a million questions,
"DO YOU WORK FOR STARK INDUSTRIES?"
"ARE YOU GOING TO BE THE NEXT HEIR OF STARK INDUSTRIES?"
"DO YOU GOT TO A PRIVATE SCHOOL?"
"IS PEPPER POTTS YOUR MOTHER?"
"WERE YOU A RESULT OF ONE OF TONY STARK'S ONE NIGHT STANDS."

Peter looked at Tony in panic, his eyes showing uncertainty as he looked towards his father, Tony looking back with a small smile as he reached forward to grab the microphone. "Peter is done answering questions and before anyone answers or comments Peter is my son."

With that Tony grabbed Peter's hand, dragging him off the stage as he still stood frozen, Peter just stood there as Tony and Pepper engulfed him into a hug as Tony lightly tugged his fingers through the boys styled yet still surprisingly messy hair. Peter instantly retaliated as he pulled both of them into a bien crushing hold.

"I love you guys." Peter muttered as he continued to hug them.
Pepper and Tony laughed before saying back, "Me too."
