I wrote an actual chapter!! :0
(Also swear this chapter title sounds like an episode name of Austin and Ally, Nostalgia)

Peter was filled with nerves, lying to Tony hadn't ever been something he was good at, in fact the first time he tried he messed up so bad that he resulted in just telling Tony the truth, no matter how bad it was, but this? Peter couldn't face telling Tony about this, hardly anyone knew about this, just MJ and Ned.

"You're first date with MJ! I can't believe it." Pepper said as she kissed Peter on the forehead, rubbing the back of his head a little as she smiled at him, proud of her step-son.

Tony watched from the sofa, staring at the two, Pepper who was beaming with happiness and Peter who was sweating from nervous as he bounced around a little, holding a few flowers in his hand for MJ.

They drove along in silence, Tony in the front seat and Peter in the back off to MJ's house. Peter was unusually quiet, staring down at the flowers with a small frown on his face.

"You alright, Pete?" Tony asked as he looked through the mirror at his son, seeing his sad and nervous state, "You nervous?"

"Y-Yeah." Peter said in reply but didn't look up making Tony furrow his eyebrows in confusion, this was the first time that he had ever seen Peter so nervous in all of his life, a little bundle of sweat as he moved around uncomfortably in his seat.

"You'll be fine, just compliment her, say she looks nice," Tony started before he chuckled a little, "always softens a girl up, even ask Pepper."

Peter just gave a silent nod as they pulled up to MJ's house. Peter got out of the car, tightly holding the bouquet of flowers as he walked up to the house, knocking on the door before MJ appeared in a dress, Tony couldn't hear what the said but Peter handed her the flowers and she smiled before she shut the door and they began to walk down the path. Peter gave Tony a small wave and a smile, signalling that MJ and himself were just going to walk instead of being dropped off anywhere before he began to walk down the street with her.

"Thanks for that MJ," Peter spoke in a slightly out of breath tone even though he wasn't out of breath, it was more like he was relieved, "you really are a lifesaver."

The stopped just outside a small 60s style diner as Peter gazed through the window and into one of the large aqua colored circular booths. MJ nudged him on the shoulder with a small smile before she began speaking, "Well I didn't put on a dress for nothing, go in."

With that, Peter gave a small nod as MJ walked away. He took in a large breath before opening the door, hearing a small bell ring as his senses were hit with a smell of food and he heard a small bustle around the diner.

He walked slowly into the booth, taking his jacket off and setting it down inside the booth as he shuffled into the seat and a strawberry milkshake was placed in front of him.

"Hey babe," He heard a deep voice say followed by a slurp, "thought you weren't coming, did your dad hold you up again?"

"Yeah he did," Peter said as he reached over for a drink. slurping through the multicolored straw as he drunk his milkshake, "Had to pretend that I was going on a date with MJ."

The other person reached over and pulled Peter's hand into their own, "I don't get why you don't just tell him, I mean, what could go wrong?"

"It isn't that easy, I mean I know he's a great dad but I don't know how he would react to this." Peter said as he squeezed their hand a little before they shuffled over to Peter, slinging an arm around him as Peter leaned his head against their shoulder.

"It's better just getting it over and done with, Pete, but I won't rush you."

"Yeah you're right but what am I supposed to say, how am I supposed to do it? Just be like 'Hey dad! I'm gay!' it just, it isn't that easy." Peter said with a small sigh, "Even you said so yourself, Tommy."

"Okay yeah," Thomas started, rolling his eyes as he pulled Peter closer, "But my dad was a dick, Tony's great and even if he doesn't accept you, I have extra space in my apartment. I know it's small but it'll always be open to you, Pete."

"Thanks Tom, I love you."

"Love you too, Pete."

It had been a week since and it was coming up to Peter and Thomas' three month anniversary and Peter yet again was a sweating mess, pacing back and forward in his room, biting his left thumb as he mumbled to himself incoherently.

Tony walked in as he chapped, seeing his son in a nervous state and went over to him, tapping him on the shoulder making Peter jump, "Dad!"

"Pete? What's wrong buddy? Come sit beside me, you can tell me anything." Tony said as he leaded Peter down to sit on the bed before sitting down beside him. "Pete?"

Peter refused to look Tony in the eyes as he fiddled around with his hands as he found his voice, "D-Dad I have to tell you something."

"What is it Pete?" Tony asked softly, he knew that something had been bothering Peter as he had been avoiding Tony for days, ever since his date with MJ, actually.

"I, I didn't go on a date with MJ," Peter said quietly but Tony heard and raised an eyebrow at him, waiting for Peter to continue, "I met up with my boyfriend."

Tony was shocked to say the least, his eyes widened slightly but he tried his best to keep his shocked facial expression at bay as Peter's head whipped up to see Tony's face. Peter's eyes glistening with tears as his bottom hip wobbled slightly as he continued to ramble, "I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to lie to you for thing long and if you wan#t to shout at me or scream at me or anything just please-"

"Pete-"

"-just do it please, just say something, I'm sorry I've kept it from you and if you don't want a gay son then I can leave-"

"Pete!" Tony shouted over the top of Peter's rambling, cutting it to a stop as Peter looked up at Tony with sad puppy eyes, the tears that had been glistening his eyes now full on rolling down his face in an ungraceful manner, "You're still my son and I love you, no matter if you're gay or not, I just can't believe you never told me."

"I'm sorry." Peter whispered, looking down at his hands again.

"No it's alright Pete, don't be sorry it's not your fault. It took a lot of courage to tell me and I'm really proud of you."

"Really?" Peter asked, sounding relieved and happy at the same time.

"Really." Tony said with a small smile and a soft tone, "now come on, give your old man a hug."

With that, Tony wrapped his arms around Peter as Peter dug his head into Tony's chest like he used to do when he was little. Tony held onto Peter with a small smile and Peter held the same expression. This superhero, drama filled, crazy family may have it's ups and downs but they all knew that they would always be there for each other, that Tony would always love Peter no matter what and that's what mattered.
