This is more of a baby Peter thing and isn't really great but here we go.-
She was struggling, she was nearly in tears on the verge from begging the baby to stop crying. Peter hasn't stopped since he arrived here which was two days ago, when his parents left his at the old door of the orphanage. It was a surprise to everyone how he hadn't ran out of years as they all continuously rolled down his face, glistening slightly from the afternoon sun.
She held him to her chest, her brown hair falling over her shoulder and onto her back as she looked down at the baby desperately. Rocking him as she closed her eyes and kept whispering, "Please Peter, I know your upset but I'll look after you, just please, please stop crying."
It was as if it was magic, Peter's loud wails and sobs turned into small whimpers and then into silence, as if he hadn't been crying his heart out a few seconds before. The woman had to crack open an eyelid at the baby to see if what she had heard was true or if it was just a dream but no, there he was, lying in the baby blue blanket, his big brown doe eyes sparkling as he looked at something behind the woman.
She let out a breath in relief and victory, thankful that she wasn't going to have an everlasting headache. She had to admit- once you got past the tears, Peter was adorable. His big brown doe eyes, small button nose and little lips that were slightly agape, showing off his gums.
She turned around, noticing Peter wasn't actually staring at her but something behind her. She turned to see a man, sunglasses on and a familiar goatee that she just could seem to place, that was until he took the sunglasses off.
"Hm." He stated as he continued to stare down at the now giggling child as her mourn was left agape, staring at the highly familiar and famous Tony Stark.
"Is he yours?" The man asked, still looking at the woman, in her late teens early twenties.
"No no no, I work at the orphanage two blocks from here." She replied, shaking her head.
"Ah," Tony stated as he looked at the child who was trying to make grabby hands at him, "so he's up for adoption?"
"Y-Yes he is." The girl nods as she fixes the blanket.
"Hm." Tony said as he drummed his fingers on the side of the bench before turning to the woman beside him, "Pepper, get the information off of this lady here, I want to adopt the child."
He walked away after that, leaving the girl stunned before she stuttered out a reply, "M-Mr. Stark, a-ren't you a l-little too busy to be looking a-after a baby?"
He turned around simply, waving a hand before responding, "Its good for press." He walked away after that, his heart fluttering at the memory of the young boy looking up at him.
Tony knew this wasn't for press. He knew that the child that the girl held was special, he felt some sort of connection with him. He wanted to be the dad that wasn't there for him. He wanted to be his father figure and he was going to do one damn better hell of a job than Howard did with him.
