Zian's POV
*Beep beep beep beep*
The sound of the alarm did it again. 4am in the morning and here I am, already awake. Well, it's always been like this. Dolim University is just right beside my dormitory but I love getting in school before everyone does so I always leave before sunrise.
As I reached the entrance of the university, I greeted the guards good morning and went straight up to my favorite place in the whole campus; the rooftop. I always stay up there to watch the sunrise. It reminds me of how beautiful life is, it makes me feel great.
An hour passed, it's 6:30am already when I decided to go down. I picked up my things and I was about to go towards the stairs until I saw a guy standing near the edge of the building. I hid behind a post, still peeking at the stranger trying to figure out what he's doing.
"Wait.. Is he..?" I stopped whispering when the guy suddenly speaks.
"Lord I'll be meeting you now. I'll finally give myself back to you. Please forgive me for being so early."
At that moment, I dropped my things on the ground and run quickly towards him.
"STOP!" I shouted.
I immediately grabbed his wrist and pulled him away from the edge resulting him to fall on the rooftop ground. I bent down, holding onto my knees while catching my breath, I turned my gazed at him.
"Dude, what was that? You almost killed yourself!" I exclaimed.
"You shouldn't have stopped me! You don't know what I'm going through!! I was ready to end it!!"
The man shouted back at me with a recognizable sadness in his voice. he started crying and remained seated on the ground, wiping his tears off his eyes.
I slowly walked close towards the guy and sat down beside him.
"What is your name?" I asked calmly.
"Dean." He replied.I glanced at him for a while and looks up at the sky before speaking,
"Dean, I might not know what you're going through or how hard it is for you right now but taking your own life is not a solution. You know, there's more to life than what you think. I can be your friend. You can lean on me, brother. Just don't do anything that can hurt yourself again."
We had a little more conversation about his problems that lasted for a moment until he told me that he has to go.
"I should get going now. Thank you.. " he paused, realizing he doesn't know my name yet.
"Zian. My name's Zian." I continued.
He nodded and smiled."Thank you, Zian." He said.
I smiled back, patting his shoulder.
We were picking our things up when Dean's cellphone rang. It was a call from someone.
