Zian's POV
"He is no other than... Mark Hemilton from Team C!" The coach announced the final member. Team A became silent, all eyes on me.
I admit, those words keep on repeating in my brain and I can't get over it. I can't accept the fact that I have to train for another year. I am still stuck in this goddamn school.
After letting out a deep sigh, setting aside my negative thoughts, I turned and smiled at them.
"Let's go, guys. It's fine." I told them as I saw their pity looks on me.
I hate it, I hate that they are being like this whenever I fail on something. It feels like they are thinking less of what I can do, of what I am capable of.
"Maybe we're lacking something, that's why we weren't chosen yet. Smile, guys! It's another year for us to be together and make more memories!"
Jirou spoke, trying to cheer the whole team up while I remained silent.
I don't wanna be stuck here anymore, I want to move forward and besides, it's not me, it's the shitty coaches who always pick their favorite athletes. I know to myself that I am doing well and I should be one of those people who made it to the official team. After few minutes, I asked my team to go home and get rest since we are all exhausted from what happened today.
"Come on, man! Maybe you still don't have that enough skills to go through, there's always next time and next year. Do better next time huh." Hanz jokingly said, laughing while nudging my arm with his elbow.
"We all failed this year, Zian. We should do better next year." Enos added.
I forced a smile at them, letting them walk past me, I silently followed.
