Chapter 26: Detonation

Shawn's POV

Two days after the said individual test happened. I was helping myself to shut off my mind about my vision which continuously happens to me very often.

I can't myself to be worried about them after Zian's accident and focus on the competition. Another thing I'm worried about is Justin. Recently, he seems losing interest in competing for the final team and no longer attending practices and just staying at home. He already losing control of his way of entertainment because of his so-called new found game.

It was already past 9PM but the boy named Justin is still awake and raging the night playing games. I entered his room and watched him play. He seems didn't notice me enter his room because his all attention is in his game.

"When did you start playing that game?" I asked while sipping a cup of coffee. It was a game full of zombies, I saw a Sancreek font in green words at the right top of the screen written
"Monday Mystery".

"Last Monday, I was so bored that I tried to hack a lot of games but I discovered Monday Mystery" he said but his eyes are still fixed in the computer screen.

"Hyeong, try this game too it's awesome. You will just kill zombies and they will give you a lot of money and when you pass all the levels, they will give you more money through an email!" he said with excitement in his voice.

"No, thanks. I'm not into games" I said nonchalantly and I was about to go out of his room and go to sleep but my eyes started to get blurry and darkened.

I feel woozy and scenes start to flash in my head again. My walk is now unbalanced and I dropped my coffee on the floor. As I heard the sounds of my scattered mug I also heard a loud explosion in my head. I can't stand anymore, numbers of things flash in my head. I'm seeing a computer- on-game then suddenly there is something pop up on the screen written.

You have received an email.

My brother caught me as I was about to fall. Nervosity is all written in his face. He helped me to get up and let me sit in his computer swivel chair.

"What happened Shawn?" he said out of worries.

"Nothing, I'm just not feeling well today" I lied

Not now, my brother is the next one. I don't want him to be worried. I need to figure things out without making him worried.

"Justin, I think I need to rest. It's getting late. Go to sleep soon."

"Alright, hyeong. Take care."

I stood up and hugged him tight before walking out of his room. As soon as I reached my room, I lay on my bed and think about the visions that I saw earlier until I accidentally fell asleep.

I woke up after an hour when I heard Justin screaming in his room. Probably he finished the game and received the email he was talking about earlier. I shook my head brushing off the thoughts in my head when suddenly I heard a loud explosion sound in my head again just like what happened earlier. It keeps on repeating and the email thing keeps on showing too. It took me a while before realizing that the game will kill Justin. The email in my vision and the email that Justin will receive will cause the explosion!

I hurriedly ran going to his room to warn him until I heard another explosion. I was almost there when Justin's bedroom door flew off.

"JUSTIN!!!!"

I shouted and ran inside only to see my brother's dead body on the floor. His face can barely recognized, his computer was completely destroyed. I cannot explain what I'm feeling right now.. I kneeled in front of my brother's dead body, crying.. I cannot believe that I wasn't able to save him.

"JUSTIN!! I am so sorry!" I cried in pain and grief. My brother is gone..
