David's pov
I sat In my Tesla watching the target parking lot. I have nowhere to be and nothing to do. All of my friends are in college and I dropped out which has left me pretty lonely. "Fuck off, you're such a slut bitch" I heard a voice say, I looked over to see a guy next to a girl who was standing crying. I got out of my car and walked over to them. "Hey man what's going on?" I asked "my bitch is a whore" he replied "first of all she's not your bitch, don't talk about her like that and second of all there's no need to get so agressive" I said, this girl could have been a murderer for all I know but it felt right to stand up for her. "Don't fucking get involved" he "dude it's not my problem that you can't respect women but I'm not having you shouting at someone in the middle of the street" I said, I was literally shitting myself, this guy could have a gun or anything but I wanted to stay strong for the distraught girl who was stood behind me "I can yell at my bitch if I want to" he said getting closer to me "she's not your bitch, she's a girl and she deserves respect which you clearly aren't showing her" I said taking a step back"she doesn't deserve respect,refusing to have sex with me and walking out, yeah what a good girlfriend" he said "she doesn't have to do things she doesn't want to do, if you want force her to have sex with you, I suggest that you fuck off somewhere else for a while and calm down" I said to him, he cussed and threw his arms up walking away "I didn't  fucking need you anyways slut" he shouted. I turned to the girl, who immediately burst into tears. "It's okay" I said to her, I didn't want to hug her in case it would scare her or something but I said comforting things "hey where do you live I'll drive you home" I said "I live with him and I can't go back" she said quietly "you can come to my place for a while until you find somewhere" I said, she nodded and followed me to the car, the ride to my house was silent apart from the occasional sobs that the girl would let out, I still didn't even know her name "hey what's your name?" I asked calmly "Liza" she replied "David" I added shaking her hand making her laugh "hey are you okay?" I asked she nodded but it was uncertain and her eyes filled with tears again. "This, might be pushing it and you don't have to answer but what happened?" I asked "he always makes me do these things I don't want to do, always and today I stood up for myself and said no, he hit me a couple times, a-and he tried to force himself into me again but I ran and he came chasing after me shouting at me" she explained "he's a jerk, and he's not coming anywhere near you again, or I'll kill him" I said getting protective over this girl I met literally minutes ago. "Thanks David" she said smiling "any time, I could never just watch someone be treat like that" I replied.

We arrived at my house and she sat on the couch as she came in "your house is nice" she smiled "thanks, you want anything to drink?" I asked, she shook her head. "Sure?" I asked, "yeah" she replied. "Okay" I said grabbing a water and sitting on the couch. We talked a little more and I got to know her quite a lot, we laughed, she cried more about her situation and I comforted her "David I need a hug" Liza said after she cried again "of course" I said wrapping my arms around her, she put her arms around my waist and cried again into my chest. "Liza, I know you've made mistakes, being with the jerk being number one but don't feel bad about it and especially don't let his stupid comments get to you because I've known you for a couple hours and I can already see that you are so beautiful, kind, amazing, sensitive and even if he made you doubt that I swear to god I'm going to make you see it" I said to her. She's never going to be treat like that again even if it kills me.
