History

David's pov
"Hey" I said turning to Liza Koshy, we've never spoken before but we got sat next to each other in history so I may as well make a friend. "Hey" She replied quietly "I thought we may as well break the awkwardness now so history is more bearable" I said to her "yeah, good idea" she said laughing lightly, "Liza, David, stop talking and pay attention" ms Jackson shouted, me and Liza looked at each other a laughed quietly again, maybe this was going to be bearable.

"That's pretty funny though" Liza laughed, I was telling her about my first date since we were working on a project in class "it was so embarrassing" I said "you're going red" she said laughing "I know because it was literally so awkward and embarrassing" I replied "so now you're stuck being single again" she said laughing "yup" I replied "sucks right?" He said "just a bit" I replied "we probably should do some work, everyone else looks like they've got at least half their word count and we've got by Liza and David written in the corner" she said "that is true" I said "talking is better though" Liza replied "damn right it is" I replied smiling "but let's do work, we can't fail this because we were too busy talking" she replied "let's do it" I said picking up the textbook.

"Hey" I said sitting down next to liza, she had her head on the desk and she was turned away from me, she didn't reply "you okay?" I asked, she sniffled. "Liza what's wrong?" I asked putting my hand on her arm, she pulled away instantly and got up, walking out of class, I was about to follow her when ms Jackson came in "where are you going Dobrik, sit down" she said "but- I" i said "you want to fail this class?" She asked, I sat down and grabbed a pen, I tried to pay attention but all I could think about was liza, why was she so upset?

I looked down at my phone to see liza calling me, I couldn't take the call in the middle of math class, I quickly raised my hand "could I got to the bathroom please?" I asked "yeah sure" the teacher replied, I grabbed my phone and practically ran out of the room "Hey" I said answering the call "David" liza said, her voice was shaky "yeah?" I asked cautiously "please come to the first floor bathrooms" she said "okay I'll be right there" I said, I ended the call and ran down the stairs to the bathrooms, she was sitting on the floor, her eyes were red and she had her hood up, she looked mentally in pain and it hurt me to see her like that. "Liza what's going on?" I asked sitting down next to her and pulling her into a hug, she began crying again. "Shhh, Im here" I told her "I can't leave" she said breaking down "leave what?" I asked "you" she replied "why?" I asked, still a little confused "I'm not safe" she replied "what happened" I asked "I can't" she said breaking down. "I'm not leaving your side liza, don't worry" i told her, the bell rang meaning it was lunch. "David Dobrik to mr Henry's maths class" rang over the loudspeaker "shit" I said turning to Liza. "I'll come with you" she said, I nodded and stood up, she followed close behind me as I made my way back to my class. "Ah, mr Dobrik, finally come back?" Mr Henry said as I walked in, I grabbed my bag and walked to his desk "I'm really sorry, my friend wasn't doing good, I had to see her" I said "you could have asked, I would have let you go but for now no more skipping class please" he said "I won't, thanks sir" I said as I walked out "bye Dobrik" he said, I joined Liza back outside "you want me to take you home?" I asked "no I can't go home" she replied "why?" I asked "I can't, my parents are fighting so bad and they kicked me out but it wasn't my fault, I didn't do anything" she said "Liza" I said wrapping her in a hug again. "Okay we're leaving, and we're going to my house and if you can please tell me everything that's going on, I care about you and I really want to help" I said to her, she nodded and we walked to my house, my parents were both out today and my siblings were at school.
"Okay you ready yet?" I asked her as we sat on my bed "I want to tell you but I don't know how" she said "just take your time, I'm here and I don't care what it is I'll still be here for you" I told her, she nodded "Okay so my parents have been fighting and they kicked me out I don't even know why but I was just walking around, it was pretty late a-and" she started but she stopped, I hugged her tighter "a man, came up to me and he grabbed me a-and he took me to this ally and he made me do stuff I didn't want to do, I hated it and it hurt, everywhere hurt, mentally and physically and I can't keep going David, I can't" she said, tears were streaming down her cheeks and she was shaking so bad. "He raped you?" I asked in a soft tone "yeah I guess" she replied quietly "nobody is ever going to do that to you again I swear to god" I said just holding her as she cried. We stayed like that for about half an hour, Liza was still shaking and I felt so bad for her and so angry at whoever it was who did that to her, nobody deserves it but especially not Liza. "Liza I'm never letting that happen to you again, never" I told her "thanks David, I don't deserve you, I deserve that and I deserve being thrown out by my parents" she said "Liza never say that again. You deserve the world" I told her. This girl doesn't understand how amazing she is and I'm going to show her, I'm going to help her recover from this and I'm going to show her what she deserves.

"David, where are we going!?" Liza asked as I pulled her by the hand. "You'll see" I replied "I hate you" she said "love you too" I replied. "There" I said leading her to a cliff, it looked over there whole of LA and it was the perfect view for the perfect moment. "Liza, I love you a lot and I know In the last three years you've been through a lot and I've loved every minute of being by your side and showing you who you are and how amazing and perfect that girl is, Liza be my girlfriend" I said to her "of course David" she said wrapping her arms around me, I hugged her back "I love you too by the way" she said making me smile, usually people would kiss now but I know that Liza wouldn't at all feel comfortable and I'm going to wait until she's ready. "I wish I could just get over being stupid and kiss you" Liza said, wow she wants to kiss me too "it's not being stupid, you have reasons for not wanting to and I get it, I'd wait to kiss you forever if I had to" I replied "but you shouldn't have to I'm letting you down" she said "stop" I said pulling her into a hug "I love you even if you don't feel ready yet" I told her she nodded and we sat down together looking over LA. She rested her head on my shoulder and we just talked and talked for hours about anything and everything. It was perfect.

"David" Liza said as she came in her room, I was laying on the bed waiting for her to come back from the bathroom but she looked pretty serious "yeah? Are you okay?" I asked "I'm fine" she replied smiling and sitting down "then what did you want?" I asked laughing at her "this" she replied, pressing her lips to mine, I smiled into the kiss and she pulled away "baby" I said pulling her into a hug "I realised that even though I had a bad experience with someone kissing me I didn't need to be scared of it because I love you and you would never do anything like what he did" she said "that is damn true, I love you" I said to her making her smile "you're a good kisser too" I added "you're not too bad" she replied "hey" I said frowning "I'm kidding, that was the best kiss I ever had" she said smiling "good" I replied kissing her again. "You're the best David and I'm so glad we had history class" she said "me too" I replied. This was all down to history class.
