Finally

Two lines. Positive. A baby. Oh shit.
Of course she was happy. This was all they had ever wanted. But David and Liza has both learned that what they wanted, they didn't always get.

1 still birth, 4 miscarriages and 109 negative pregnancy tests. Liza had been through a lot. Her body had been through a lot. Her mind had been through a lot. The day that Liza stopped taking her birth control was such a happy day for the pair. They thought that this whole having a baby thing would be easy and that the things they had heard about were just stories and believed it would never happen to them, but it did and it broke them both time and time again.

Liza's first pregnancy was barely even a pregnancy. After eight short weeks she miscarried. It broke both David and Liza for months but they soon tried again, it led to many negative pregnancy tests but they finally got the two lines that they longed for. This time it was looking good, the baby survived until 15 weeks but at the 16 week scan they learned their child didn't have a heartbeat which broke them once again. The third time, they were so cautious, they didn't want to get too attached or get their hopes up considering their lack of luck in the past but the baby did well, they found out they were going to have a boy, Ezra Dobrik, but Liza went into labour at 23 weeks and with only a 20% survival rate, he didn't make it. This broke both David and Liza even more, they'd almost given up and both were filled with fear when Liza fell pregnant once more , miscarrying again at ten weeks, the last pregnancy that they went through was only six months ago, but they once again miscarried, this time at eight weeks.

It was almost as if they had defied the odds with the amount of loss and bad luck the pair had gone through. Liza stared at the positive test in her hand, she'd held too many of these before feeling so hopeful and ready to start a family but so far it hadn't happened.

"David" she shakily called down the stairs "yeah?" He replied going to the bottom so he could see her "can you come here please" she said, he knew. He already knew what she was about to show him, he had the exact same feeling as her. Completely filled with worry and fear yet with a slight glint of hope in the very back of his mind. "Is it?" He asked walking up to her "a test, positive" she replied, he saw her face and knew exactly what to do so he pulled her into a tight hug, running his fingers through her long curly hair as she cried into his shoulder "you never know it might be okay" he told her "I can't go through all the pain again" she said into his shoulder "which pain?" He asked her calmly rubbing circles on her back "all of it, loosing it , having a baby, not having a baby. I can't do this" she cried "you can, you are so strong and I've never doubted that in my life. 5 losses. We've been through 5 losses but this one might be our chance" he told her, she nodded, still unsure but she loved him and trusted him. "We'll get through this no matter what the outcome, we always do.

"They're fifteen weeks today, isn't that exciting" David said kissing Liza's small bump. It was small but it was there and it was way more promenant than the other two pregnancies that had lasted this long "yeah I guess it is" Liza replied with a small smile, also known as David's favorite sight. He had to see her without a smile so much over the past seven years and seeing it made him the happiest man on the planet. "Look how big they are" he said resting his hand where he had just placed the kiss "I know even Ezra wasn't this big until he was like 20 weeks" Liza said, a pang of guilt rushed through her comparing Ezra to the new baby but she pushed it away knowing she shouldn't feel bad. "All good signs" David said, quietly, he didn't want to 'curse' it, neither of them did.

"So when are you going to make a vlogging comeback Dave?" Jason asked as all of the friends sat around in the 'vlog squad' house. Both Liza and David had took a break after they lost Ezra, and never really came back from it "I'm not sure really, I want to but there's just still a lot going on you know?" David replied, wrapping the arm that was over Liza's shoulders a little tighter, as they were still hiding the baby from all of their friends. Their friends. Every single one of them had been so supportive over the whole seven years of negative pregnancy tests and baby losses the pair couldn't have possibly got through it all without them and every day they were so grateful for the group of friends they had. "How are you guys doing?" Mariah asked kindly "yeah we're okay, pretty good at the minute" Liza smiled looking at me "that's great, you can tell you guys are happy and it's the best thing to see in the world" Heath added. Of course the group of friends come across as crazy and always making nasty jokes about each other but deep down they all only wanted the best for each other. The friend group continued talking for hours about all sorts of different things. Liza noticed Kristen almost staring at her with a slightly confused yet scheming look on her face, Liza looked down to notice David's hand gently resting on her stomach, also showing off her small bump that she had concealed with an oversized sweater, Liza played with his fingers almost pretending it was a game before lightly pushing his hand off which he didn't really notice as he was completely engaged in the current conversation about food, Liza's eyes met Kristen's and Kristen gave her a look of suspicion causing Liza to panic. Had David just given the game away?

"Okay what's going on?" Kristen asked Liza as Liza has gone to the kitchen to get herself a cup of water "what do you mean?" Liza asked pretending she didn't know but really she just didn't know how she was going to cover this one up "you know what I mean" Kristen replied "do I?" Liza asked "okay, I don't want to say it incase it offends you or makes you upset or something" Kristen replied "it won't, just say it" Liza replied "are you pregnant?" She asked, even though Liza knew that was what she was going to ask, she still had hoped it was something else, she looked around for a minute trying to think of any excuse but she couldn't "yeah, but please don't tell anyone else, only mine and David's parents know and that's it so I swear-" the girl was cute off by Kristen wrapping her in a hug "congratulations Liza, how far along?" She asked "15 weeks" Liza replied "15!?" She almost shouted "shhh" Liza replied "sorry" she said laughing making Liza laugh too. "Why did you keep it a secret?" Kristen asked, Liza raised one eyebrow at Kristen as if it was obvious "we're scared that something's going to happen again, we aren't exactly lucky with having babies" I replied "okay I've known about this for five minutes and I can already tell this one is going better than the other ones, I saw that bump when David had his hand on it, it looks so healthy Liza, maybe this ones the one" she said smiling "that's what we're hoping, we just don't want to tell anyone just incase" Liza replied, she felt so mad at herself that she was making this a negative thing when so far it was going well but her heart had been broken by these things too many times and she wasn't prepared to be in a state like that again, so if she didn't get excited about it, it might not break her so much if it doesn't work out.

"We did it" David said looking down at the tiny baby laid on Liza's chest. They did it. She was born a week early and she was very small but she was alive, she was breathing and she was healthy. The pair had only told their friends about this a month ago and hadn't told the internet at all, so it was going to be quite a surprise to the combined 32 million fans they had. It still hadn't sunk in, that they did it. They made a baby and that baby is alive and theirs forever. Tears were still rolling down Liza's cheeks, they were tears of pain and fear but most importantly tears of happiness. "She's so beautiful" Liza choked through her still crying "she is, she's perfect and she's ours" David said kissing his two girls on the head. They did it. Finally.
