Look at my skin tone I'm poppin
My skin color could be caramel, vanilla, or even chocolate
I mean I could have a fro, cornrows, a fade or even dreads locking
Look at the way we converse
The way our culture and society immerse
and that's just a few ways that we are diverse
Speaking of diversity it would be rude of me to not mention our beautiful black queens
Strong, Beautiful, Loving
These words seem benign but in reality, they define my women.... BLACK women and I gotta mention they fine so yes you reading this poppin, your homegirl poppin, and ya sister auntie cousin poppin too
Our pigmentation is no indication of our education save that indignation for someone who don't have strong faith in they nation
We got a raised fist that shows what we represent black pride is magnificent
We are equal to NEVER lesser than
Why?
Because we got melanin and that's worth more than GOLD
We are walking treasure lands
and if you're not on our team you can join the band wag on
because team melanin is winning
