Let's play a game! I'll put a word and you'll tell me who's is it?

Braids

On a black woman, they're seen as a ghetto, hood, uneducated, promiscuous being

On our more fair toned counterpart, they are seen as higher class, fashion-forward, elegant elegance displayed by their hairs presence

Even though the style was birthed in a place they came to pillaged and raped and then centuries later told us we were the mistake or they silence us and say "get over it man, it's just the past, it's just hair for heaven's sake", took something else that was our's and said see I know your struggle with your 1A to 4C do's I can relate.... Society's standards tell us it's one person's and historical context says it's anothers.... what's the answer? Who's culture is it anyway?

Grills

In the hood you slugged up, teeth glistening top to bottom, your profile checks out as drug dealer, thug killer, baby momma producing n*gga

Fair tone, you probably a rapper dressed very dapper but needing the slugs to show you down with the crew of the darker hue so we buy your music and give you an n-word pass so you can perpetuate and perpetrate the hood and it's doing without a black ski mask

So whose culture is it anyways?

Those are just two of a few examples where we set the trend and then we get trampled by culture vultures waiting to take from the hood and never give back but would never come to the hood and say it's cool to be black. Maybe one day they should and then they'll realize everything they stealing we get killed for and we're under constant attack
