1 week later...
It's been a week of Grayson and I hiding whatever we are. He climbs through my window nearly every night and stays with me. I don't know what I'll do if he isn't with me for a night. Before I barely slept. I just have these images in my head that I can't stand. And every time I shut my eyes they come back to me.
"So you're having another party tonight before your parents get back in town right?" Kelsey asks me and I nod as we roam the hallways.
"Kelsey theres been some things I think we need to talk about. Do you think you can stay sober tonight and stay over?" I ask chuckling but she looks away.
"I will ask" is all she says as I look at her skeptically.
"What is it?" I ask her knowing something is up.
"Nothing" she mumbles.
"No Kels, seriously you have been practically ignoring me since the last party. What did I do? Let me make it up to you" I plead and she sighs.
"It's nothing Mar-Mar. Trust me." She says before speeding up and walking away.
"Kels!" I called but she didn't turn back around.
I swear lately the only who loves me is Grayson. Reece and Kelsey have been distant from me.
Do they know about Grayson and I? Is that it?
I didn't have any more thoughts before my arm was grabbed and pulled into a closet.
"You could just text me to meet you in here instead."
"It's not as adventurous" Grayson presses his lips to mine. With Grayson, the brooms falling all over the place didn't matter. With him, it was just Grayson and I, nothing could come in between us.
He pushed me up against the wall lifting my legs up and wrapping them around his waist.
I moaned against his lips causing him to smile before moving our lips together again.
He pulled away and I felt his hot breathe on me.
"Mara, lets have a date night" he whispered.
"We can't exactly go out in case someone sees us" I chuckle.
"A date doesn't have to be going out. Why don't you come over to my house tonight. And we can have a movie night?"
He was beyond sweet. I definitely didn't deserve him. But I guess I was one of the few girls who don't judge him on his past of being a player. That's gotta mean something.
"With Another Cinderella Story?" I asked and he chuckled.
"Of course, we have to have my girls favorite movie"
My girl. Ahh!!!! The butterflies are doing something in my stomach.
"I'll have to figure out an excuse out of my own party" I sigh.
"And I have to make an excuse to get out of it too" he says making me chuckle.
"How about you say that your cousins are coming from out of town?" I suggest and he doesn't respond.
"Not bad gorgeous" he kissed my forehead.
"Now yours is a little more tricky" he pauses. "How about you tell him you're in love with me?"
"Gray-"
"I know I'm kidding" he pecks my lips.
"How about you say that you're not up for a party and tell him to leave you alone until the morning?"
"It works, he won't ask questions" he smiles at this before putting me on the floor and hugs me tightly.
"I love you" he whispers.
"I love you" I whisper wishing that I wouldn't have to let him go.
———————————
"I'm just not feeling good Reecy" I try to explain to him. I wasn't completely lying. I was feeling bad because Grayson wasn't holding me.
"Reecy please let me bail out once?" I asked with a pout face hoping he will give in.
"Fine Mar-Mar, But you're not getting out of anymore" he points at me.
"Thank you Reecy. I'm going to rest now. Don't you dare bother me tonight!" I say hoping he really wouldn't come and check up on an absent Amara.
Grayson was going to pick me up around the corner because Reece would notice my car gone.
I grab my phone and stick it in my pocket. I climb out the window and successfully make it out. I walk to Graysons car and open the passenger door.
"Hey gorgeous" he pecked my lips as I sat in the car.
"Hey handsome" I smiled at him widely.
We sat in a comfortable silence letting the music engulf us. I zoned out staring out the window.
When we got to his house no one was home so we could just walk right in.
Graysons house was similar to mine. I haven't been here since the Christmas party a few months ago. Our parents work together meaning that Grayson must be more lonely than I am. I mean he's really alone because Ethans at military school. At least I have Reece even if he is being distant.
"Gray?" I ask as he leads me up to his room.
"Yes gorgeous?" He smiled at me.
"Do you get lonely here by yourself?"
"Sometimes, but lately I've had you and I'm never lonely with you" he kissed my forehead.
We walked into his room. I had never been in his room. And it wasn't a cliche teenage boys room. There were no pictures of models and no clothes on the ground. It was actually very organized, his bookshelf was color coded which I smiled. I hope Eliza and Ace would get his organization skills.
I walk around and fall onto his bed before my eyes caught something on his bedside table.
The same photo I had on my dresser. There it was Reece and I with Grayson completely photobombing it.
I picked up the frame and stared at it before Grayson sat next to me and wrapped his arms around my kissing me on the cheek.
"Let's get started with this" he moves down and looks under the bed pulling out a basket. I smile as I realize it has a bunch of snacks in it.
He tossed me a bag of gummy worms. My favorite. But fuck they kill your stomach.
I like that Grayson thought of this. Going on a first date with Gray would be so weird. We already know practically everything about each other.
"Another Cinderella story? He asked.
"Yes please" I wrap my arms around his neck keeping him close.
"Stop being so cute" he glared at me as I chuckled.
"How can I help it?" I mumble through my smile before he pulled me over and kissed me passionately.
