I woke up to my phone buzzing.

"Come on!" I groaned picking it up.

"It's midnight what the fuck do you want Ash?!" I exclaimed.

"Happy motherfucking birthday!" He screamed making me chuckle.

"Whatever" I whisper.

"I'm coming to pick you up!"

"Wait what?!" I exclaimed.

"Come on the ice cream parlor is open 24 hours."

"Maybe later okay? I'm not feeling like it right now"

"Okay" he said.

"Goodnight birthday girl"

"Night" I hung up.

I woke up the next morning and got ready for school. It was like any other day.

Except I'm 18. I'm a legal adult.

"Mar-Mar! Wake the fuck up!" Reece came barging into my room.

"I'm already up" I sigh.

"Happy birthday" he said.

"Happy birthday" I said back.

When Ashton came to pick me up I was already ready so I headed out the door.

The party was tonight and I was nervous of being near Grayson again.

Ashton bought me ice cream and we drove to school.

We walked into our first class and the teacher looked especially happy.

I was still eating my ice cream as she started talking.

"I have finally chosen a winner" she smiled.

Everyone was getting interested.

I just kept eating my ice cream quietly.

"Amara Reynolds!" She squealed as I started coughing.

"Um what?" I mumbled looking towards Ashton. He only shrugged at me.

"Your essay has been chosen for you to read at graduation!"

Oh hell no.

Graduation was in two weeks and I was not reading my essay in front of everyone.

I sat there dumbstruck. This fucking sucks.

"Happy birthday!" I heard a familiar yell.

"Thanks" I said to Kelsey.

She handed me a small box and handed Reece one too.

"Open it, I want mine to be first"

I opened mine and covered my mouth in shock.

"I fucking love it Kelsey"

It was a diamond necklace. A beautiful diamond necklace.

More people started coming. My palms were getting sweaty as I waited for Grayson to show up.

Ashton came in holding a big ass teddy bear in his hands.

"Oh no." I laughed as he trotted in.

"You're so dumb" I bursted our laughing.
