I rolled over in bed and Kairi was sitting there staring at me.

"Hey pretty girl." I smiled

"About time you got up." Dave walked out of the bathroom pulling his shirt on.

"Where you going?" I sat up.

"Got a interview at 10. Magazine shoot at 2:30 and my second listening party is tonight." He fastened the watch on his wrist. "Breakfast is downstairs. I'll be back." He came over and kissed Kairi then attempted to kiss me but I turned my head.

"Stop it." I whined. "I just woke up."

"And?" He smacked his lips. "Come on, I gotta go." He grabbed my face and kissed me anyway.

He left out of the room and I went into the bathroom to quickly brush my teeth and wash my face. I carried Kai downstairs and sat her in her highchair so she could eat.

Dave

I arrived at the radio station for my interview about 20 minutes ago.

"They're ready for you." A guy came over to me.

I nodded and followed behind him. We entered into a room and DJ Envy, Charlamagne and Angela Yee sat around the table. I sat in the empty seat and waited for them to begin.

"Morning everybody It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamgne the God. We are the breakfast club. We got a special guest in the building, Dave East."

"Wassup."

"Last time we ran into each other, you were just getting noticed in this music industry. You blowing up now." Charlamagne laughed. "What made you name the album Paranoia? You been paranoid lately?"

"I don't be trusting nobody man. And honestly the real meaning behind it is just my life changed so quick. I was just in the projects and now I'm everywhere. And I'm a dad so me being a father now got me kinda more on point with everything. I gotta get home to her."

"On the album, you also talked about how you feel like a lot of artists are fake in this industry and it seems like they are acting." DJ Envy spoke

"Yea." I nodded. "I feel like its a mold like everybody following one type of look, sound, all that. Its hard to see who original now. You really can't pick out who story is true or not."

"A lot of artists in the industry fuck with you though. I look at who was featured and who's been reposting it. How do you get so much love from the artists?" Envy asked

"I just be being me." I laughed. "I just be chilling. Smoke something, drink something. I'm not the type that's all on snapchat and all that. I don't really be too extra and I think it be so many extra people that when they do come around me, they see that I'm just a chill person."

"How are things different now that you have your partnership with Def Jam?" Angela asked

"It's dope. I'm seeing how things really work and how it feels to have an actual team and official label behind me."

"I seen you beefing with ya child's mom on instagram. And I was like that's different from Dave cause I never seen you interact with social media that heavy." Envy spoke

"That was outta character." I shook my head. "Posting off emotions. She posted some dumb shit but I actually spoke to her after that and we came to an agreement that we don't ever gotta be cool but we need Kairi to know we cool. Even if it just for her eyes when I pick her up or drop her off."

"So who is this mystery girl we've been seeing you running around with?" Angela asked

"Yea. Who is she? She's beautiful. I'm pretty sure you hitting that. Gotta be." Charlamagne added.
