MaKayla
I sat in the living room with Crystal and googled ways I could naturally induce labor.
"Why don't ya'll just fuck?" She asked as she ate a twizzler.
I rolled my eyes. "I told yo ass I was extra sensitive right now. That shit gon hurt."
"I'm just tryna help. My other offer is still on the table." She laughed
"I'm not letting you touch my nipples." I joined her laughter
She shrugged "It's been proven to work though."
"Yea, well, I'll never know."
"David!" Crystal yelled.
"Bro. Why the fuck are you so loud and why the hell are you here?" Dave walked into the living room.
"First of all unibrow, I'm here for Kayla. And second, I can be as loud as I want to."
"What you want?" He crossed his arms
"Go to the store and get your wife some uhhhh..." she scrolled on her phone. "Red raspberry leaf tea and something spicy. Now go. Bye." She shooed him away
"Ya'll two getting on my nerves." He laughed
"Yea. Whatever." Crystal laughed
"How was your labor experience?" I looked at Crystal
"Honestly, it wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be. Kairi was a small baby and I wasn't having contractions for too long before I got an epidural."
I nodded.
"Don't be nervous. You're going to do just fine." She patted my leg. "I'm going to get my aunt to make you some soup. She made it for me and less than 12 hours later, I was in labor."
3:53 AM
I've been tossing and turning in bed for the last hour. I ate the soup Crystal gave me and I thought she was joking about it actually working. My stomach was tightening and I knew that was the contractions starting. I slowly got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I stood in front of the mirror and swayed from side to side as another pain came. I tried to coach myself to keep calm and breathe through the contractions.
