"Kairi! Get down before you fall again."

"No!" She laughed.

"I'ma tell your daddy."

"So." She shrugged

My mouth dropped open

"Kairi! Get yo ass down!" Dave's voice echoed through the living room

She carefully climbed down off the table and ran over to me, hugging onto my leg.

"Nah. Don't try to hug me now." I laughed

"I sorry." She pouted.

I picked her up and she laid her head on my shoulder.

"You're back early." I looked over at Dave

"Yea. I wasn't feeling it today." He propped his feet up on the table. "What time is your photoshoot?"

The company that I have been exchanging emails with wants me to do a photoshoot for American Eagle.

"I have to be there at 2."

"Good. Kai will be gone by then so I can go with you."

"You wanna go?" I questioned

"Hell yea. My baby first photoshoot. I gotta be there to support."

"Awww." I pinched his cheek. "You're so sweet when you want to be."

"Right." He nodded

The doorbell rung and I walked over to the front door. Crystal stood there texting on her phone. She locked it and slid it in her back pocket once the door was fully open.

"Hi." I spoke

"Hey." She replied. "Is Kai sleep?"

"No." I shook my head and stepped back for her to come inside.

I closed the front door and walked to the living room with Crystal behind me. I grabbed Kai's bag and handed it to her.

"I bought her a new brand of fruit snacks and she seem to really like those so they are in there and she fell when we were outside earlier so there's ointment and bandaids in there as well. I just changed it so it's fine for now but it'll probably have to be changed after her bath tonight."

"Alright. Thanks." She smiled and picked up Kairi. "I'll bring her back Friday evening."

"Ok." I nodded. "Bye Kai." I waved

"Bye bye." She waved back

I locked the door after she left out and went back to the living room.

"Ya'll don't need me no more huh? She don't even communicate with me, she always texting you."

I shrugged. "I can't help it if I'm lovable."

"Yea iight." He chuckled

"Oh I'm not? Bet." I scooted to the other side of the couch

He smacked his lips. "I was joking."

"Anyway." I ignored what he said. "I'm about to go get ready."

"Yea do that. You know you take all day."

I picked up a pillow and threw it at his head then quickly ran upstairs.

"I'ma fuck you up!" He yelled and laughed

I walked into the bathroom inside Dave's room and got my things together for my hair.
