Since Dave broke the news of me being pregnant. I've been getting all types of offers. My most recent gig was for a magazine based out of Los Angeles. I did the brief interview and photoshoot 3 weeks ago. I just got off the phone with the publisher and the magazine is set to hit shelves by the end of the week. They said they sent me a couple copies and I should be getting them today.
"Baby?" I heard Dave yelling
"I'm upstairs!"
I could hear Kairi running towards the bedroom. Her little head appeared at the door and then she ran over and jumped on the bed.
"Kay!" She kissed my cheek. "Baby." She kissed my stomach.
"Hey munchkin. Did you have fun at grandma's house?"
She nodded.
"What did you do?"
She held up her little hand. "I help gigi cook. Her needed help. Pop pop give me candies. We go to swing playground. A lot of stuff." She huffed like she told the longest story ever
I laughed at her cuteness and looked up at Dave walking in the room. He had a box in his hand.
"This is for you." He sat the box on the bed.
"It has to be the magazine." I clapped. "I wonder what my page looks like." I carefully opened the box. "I can't do it. You take it out." I slid the box to Dave.
He shook his head and pulled a magazine out the box. I could only see the back of it and I was anxious.
"You look amazing." He turned the magazine around.

I gasped loudly and grabbed it from his hands. "I'm on the cover?! They didn't tell me this!"
"Too beautiful to not be the cover."
I blushed as I looked over at Dave. "Thank you baby."
I flipped through the pages until I saw my article. Both pages were filled with pictures of me. Not just one page or a small section but two full pages! I read the article in awe. As if I wasn't the one it was about.
"Don't you have a doctors appointment today?" Dave pulled my attention from the magazine
I nodded. "At 3"
"It's 2 already. Don't you think you should be getting ready?"
"Stop playing." I reached for my phone. I tapped the screen and the time read 2:01PM
I threw the covers off of me and went into the bathroom. I took the quickest shower of my life and slipped on some leggings and one of Dave's shirts. When it came to my hair, that was a different story. It took 15 whole minutes just to get it into a ponytail.
We made it to the office at 3:10 but thankfully, they allow a 15 minute grace period before they cancel the appointment. Kairi sat on my lap and watched TV while we waited. She had never been to one of my appointments before so today would be her first time seeing how everything goes.
